However, these airlines usually will have transit in some countries or have a connecting flight to continue to the destination.

Lucerne or Luzern has been one of the top destinations in Switzerland that attracted both local and international visitors. Most of the visitors would even spend a couple of days just to enjoy the city.
There are many types of hotels that are available here suitable for any budget. This is due to the fact that every summer, tourists would come and spend several days exploring the city.
The city of Lucerne is located at the north end of Lake Lucerne, and River Reuss flows out of the lake.
Due to the long history of the city, the mediaeval influence can clearly be seen throughout the city. It remains preserved well until today. The historic buildings remain as majestic as they used to back in the day.
The city has been an annual location for the summer music festival thanks to its beauty and the gorgeous Lake Lucerne. Visitors would come and enjoy an orchestra with conductors, soloists together with piano and marching bands performed at the festival.

One of the landmarks of Lucerne would be the Chapel Bridge or Kapellbrücke. It is a wooden bridge that is covered that runs diagonally across the Reuss.
Built in 1333, it has been the home for more than 100 pieces of 17th-century pictures that depict patron saints and also scenes from the town's history. It hangs from the roof rafters.
In 1993, the chapel was badly damaged by a fire that spread across the town. It has been restored and rebuilt since then to maintain the historical integrity of the chapel.
Next to the chapel is an octagonal Wasserturm or water tower that is 34 metres high. It used to be the town’s fortress too.
These two landmarks happen to be the most photographed scene in all of Switzerland. Tourists can walk around the town because most of the attractions there are within walking distance.

The largest city in Switzerland is Zurich, and it is also the capital of canton Zurich.
There is also a breathtaking lake that is long and has a shape of a crescent, and curves into Pfannenstiel and Albis. 40 kilometres long, it is definitely an attraction to Zurich all on its own.
What's more, the water quality in the lake is so clean that swimming is allowed in the designated area.
Notes:
Another attraction of Zurich city would definitely be the history.
District 1 of the city has most of the historical centres. The streets of Altstadt have a lot of buildings that are from the mediaeval era and also modern ones.
It happens to be where many would come to shop, enjoy the nightlife and experience the culture of the locals.
Getting lost in this area might allow you to stumble upon a gem that may not be included in any travel guide.
There may also be historical monuments from the mediaeval church to 17th century Town Hall. It is a city waiting to be explored.

While the city holds many historical buildings and monuments, it is still following the current lifestyle where the city would hold a street parade every second Saturday of August.
One of the world's biggest electronic parties is held on the streets of Zurich.
A parade that has been going on since 1992 has grown larger each year. There will be sound systems set up with the number of DJs ready to play a different set of songs.
By heading to a different part of the city, you will be entertained by a different type of music. Definitely an experience that cannot be found anywhere else.

Located in the northwest of the country, Bern has been around for almost a thousand years. It is currently the capital of Switzerland.
Just like other parts of Switzerland, Bern is also one of the highest cities in Europe. It is 542 metres above sea level. Despite the elevation, the city was once damaged by fire back in 1405. It has been rebuilt with sandstone and is preserved to this very day.
The old town has also been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The city has many Renaissance-era fountains.
There is also a Rose Garden with 220 different types of rose, 200 types of irises and 28 types of rhododendrons. What used to be a cemetery has now become a public park with beautiful flowers and ponds.
The whole city is very serene and peaceful. It is a city waiting for people to dive into and learn about the history that can be dated back to the 15th century.
