Travel to Bangkok: Revisit the World's Extraordinary Treasure

If you are looking for the best place to be amazed by the sheer beauty of a country’s heritage and culture, plus food? Bangkok is the destination for you and with the travel borders slowly reopening, you don’t have to worry about waiting another day to travel to Bangkok again.

Bangkok or locally called Krung Thep Maha Nakhon is nothing like other capital cities in Southeast Asia. Bangkok stands proudly to be the main city despite being under different political reigns. It is also one of the most populous cities in Thailand, having 5,104,476 people residing in this wonderful city. Quite a fun fact, am I right?

How to get to Bangkok?

Unless you are next door to Bangkok’s borders, traveling to Bangkok via plane is the best way to do it. For international travelers, the available airport in Bangkok is Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK).

DMK used to be the main international airport, but after its renovation, it was replaced by BKK to be Bangkok's main airport. DMK airport now covers more of the low-cost airline hub, whereas BKK covers more international flights. From either of the airports, the best way to get to the center of Bangkok is via taxis, where you can make your booking online using the airport's official website.

Scoot, Singapore Airlines, and Thai Airways are some of the major airlines providing direct flights to Bangkok from Singapore. It will take roughly around 2 hours 25 minutes to reach Bangkok. If you book early, you might get a price ticket as low as SGD 89, with an average price of SGD 245.

You can get to the palace by bus or Chao Phraya Express Boat and take a stop at Krung Thon Bridge. From there, take a ten-minute walk to reach Vimanmek Palace. The operating hours are from 9.30 am to 4.00 pm, open from Monday to Saturday, but close on public holidays.

Temple of Dawn, or in the Thai language, this beautiful temple is known as Wat Arun Ratchawararam. The temple was named after and Hindhu god called God Aruna (God of Dawn), which resides majestically on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River.
