Long story short, from November 22nd onwards, Singaporeans can travel to Indonesia under the Vaccinated Travel Lane scheme.

Indonesia provides a broad array of experiences screaming to be explored by people from all over the world. From the smoldering volcanoes of central Java to the verdant stretches of Bali's rice terraces; from Jakarta's enormous luxury malls to the unspoiled marine biospheres of Rajah Ampat and the lush jungles of Borneo, Indonesia is ripe for the adventurous traveler.

The nation is made up of five large islands and over 30 smaller groupings. There are 17,508 islands in all, with around 6,000 of them inhabited.

Sumatra, Java (home to more than half of the country's population), Borneo (known as "Kalimantan" in Indonesia), Sulawesi, and New Guinea are the biggest islands in Indonesia.

Fun facts! Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world, with five major islands and countless smaller islands located between the Indian and Pacific Oceans! The island of Java itself is the size of New York and home to more than half of its population.

What are the Best Places to Visit in Indonesia?

Bali

Bali, located in the Lesser Sunda Islands to the west of Java is famous across the world for its magnificent rice terraces, aromatic food, beautiful beaches, and a plethora of culture and history.

It perfectly blends leisure and adventure with its ornate temples, boundless coastline, some of the world's greatest coral reefs, waterfalls, and retreats. The island has some of the greatest sunsets and sunrises, which will fascinate and seduce you to never leave.

Bali's beauty is unlimited, as are its options for enjoyment, with the coral reefs of Tulamben, the mountain peaks of Kintamani, the beaches and scenic pathways of Seminyak and Kuta, and the old temples and traditional village life of Ubud.

Don't forget to see one of Bali's numerous terraced rice fields, which add to the richness of the island's stunning environment. Tourists can spend an idyllic day at the beach, surf, dive, take a leisurely boat ride to see the dolphins, explore the many beautiful temples, local markets, and waterfalls, or attend silent yoga retreats - there is something for everyone here.

Because of the lower rainfall, the months of April through September are ideal for visiting Bali. The tropical island, however warm and humid, has two seasons: the dry season (April - October) and the wet season (November - March) (November - March). July, August, and December are the busiest months for travelers who want to experience Bali's people, nightlife, and mood.

Jakarta

Jakarta, Indonesia's capital city, is also the country's cultural, economic, and political center. Take a leisurely stroll around Kota Baru, or Jakarta's Old Town, where Dutch colonial architecture has been kept as it existed prior to Indonesia's independence.

Take in the sights and scents of Glodok, Jakarta's ancient Chinatown, before making your way to central Jakarta to see MONAS, Indonesia's National Monument to its Freedom Struggle.

Fall in love with the Thousand Islands or Kepualan Seribu, one of Indonesia's most popular beach destinations, and immerse yourself in the archipelago's pure white sands.

Jakarta has a lot to offer every traveler, including the city's ancient sites as well as its ultra-modern malls and lively nightlife scene.

The ideal time to visit Jakarta is between June and September when the weather is nice with a chance of rain. Jakarta's weather is warm and humid all year because it is located in a subtropical zone. In Jakarta, there are two primary seasons: dry season (May - September) and wet season (October - April) (October to April).

The dry months are the busiest time of year to visit Jakarta, with hotel prices skyrocketing. Because of the regular rains and heavy humidity, October is the hottest month of the year, with an average high of 34 degrees Celsius. July and August are the ideal time to visit Jakarta.

Bandung

Bandung, a city of contrasts, is one of Indonesia's most important and quickly rising cities. Situated 150 kilometers away from Jakarta, Bandung was called the "Paris of Java'' by Dutch colonists because of its rippling rice fields, volcanic highlands, and unmistakably European flair.

Tourists go to Jl. Braga to spend time at the various cafés, restaurants, and museums. Jl. Cihampelas is recognized for its shopping adventures, and for a taste of the modern, people may visit Jl. Tirtayasa and Jl. Trunoyoso, which are known for their high-end restaurants and stores. The surrounding mountains are a distinctive aspect of the city, and they can be viewed from anywhere in Bandung.

It also features a zoo, botanical gardens, golf courses, lakes, waterfalls, and tea gardens, which contrast well with Bandung's growing metropolitan center status. Bandung is the ideal weekend trip, with historical antiquities, a flourishing young culture, gorgeous landscape, and wonderful coffee.
