In the city, you can stroll along Kuching Waterfront to visit nearby places like The Astana palace or Tua Pek Kong Temple, and grab some snacks while waiting for the sunset at the waterfront.

With over 40 sub-ethnic groups residing in Sarawak, Kuching is also a popular base for exploring more of the state’s rich culture as well as biodiversity. If you’ve seen it all in Kuching, take a day trip to other cultural villages, national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.

Other things to do in Kuching: Visit the Cat Museum, tour the Sungai Apong Fishing Village, take a dip in Anna Rais Hotspring, make a trip to Bako National Park, explore the Bidayuh Longhouse, or stop by the Rafflesia Monument.

Even if you don’t plan to conquer Mount Kinabalu, you can still go for a light hiking adventure within the vicinity of Kinabalu Park. From classic temples to restaurants served by robots, the sprawling city in Japan has it all. Passed by at least half a million people daily, the world’s busiest crossing at Shibuya is also a must for you to experience. For fashion lovers, be sure to spend at least a day to hang out and shop at Shibuya and Harajuku districts as you’ll be spoilt for choice with all the latest fashion finds!

Tokyo is also home to plenty of themed cafes including maid cafes and kawaii animal cafes where you can sit and play with hedgehogs, cats, dogs or owls perfect for hanging out with your friends or families! If you love some action, catch a Sumo practice at one of the popular sumo stables in Tokyo.

A visit to Tokyo is incomplete without taking in the panoramic sights from the top of Tokyo Skytree on a good sunny day. At night, discover the lively streets of Shinjuku or Ueno, and get tipsy at one of the many Izakayas (Japanese style bar or gastropub).

The second largest metropolitan in the world is fast becoming one of our favorite cities to visit. Seoul charms us with its lively pop culture scene as well as its rich historical remains from the past dynasty. The first thing that comes to mind is of course, shopping. Makeup addicts and fashion fanatics, go crazy at the shopping mecca of Myeongdong Street and Ewha Womans University Shopping Street. At night, continue your shopping trip to Namdaemun Market, a large traditional market where you can find everything from outdoor gears to fashionable clothing.

For some Seoul-searching, don’t forget to stop by Bongeunsa Temple to admire its beauty. If you’re coming here with your partner, be sure to seal your love at N Seoul Tower’s beautiful paradise of Love Locks after taking in the panorama of the entire city from its observation deck!

Other things to do in Seoul: Explore the Gyeongbokgung Palace, take a tour around Bukchon Hanok Village, discover family-friendly attractions at Lotte World, splurge on more food and shopping at Dongdaemun Market or chill at a local cafe in the neighborhood of Insa-dong.

Shanghai

Here’s another great holiday destination to go with your loved ones. The soaring skyscrapers seen towering over you wouldn’t be the same without the first building to define Shanghai’s cityscape; the Oriental Pearl Tower. Shanghai is also a great place for leisure as it is filled with beautiful attractions such as ancient water towns and traditional gardens, as well as a place to have a cultural immersion such as watching a traditional Chinese opera performance.

Find from leather goods to linen and cashmere jackets, or even customise your own clothing design with the tailors at South Bund Fabric Market. They will make anything you could ever dream of for a fraction of the designer price! Aside from the poppin’ nightlife, you could also chow down street eats and walk around Shanghai’s Former French Concession at night, or grab a drink with a view at one of the fanciest hotels, (which you can book for less with our Sale-abration deals *wink*)!

Other things to do in Shanghai: Cruise along the river at Zhujiajiao Water Town, see the old city at Yuyuan Garden and Bazaar, stroll around the Bund promenade, learn their history at Shanghai Museum, or bring home some pieces at The Propaganda Poster Art Centre.

Many would think that Hong Kong is all about impressive skylines and luxury shopping, but it’s also rich in history and culture, with a lot more to offer than just the dense collection of skyscrapers. At a height of 112 feet, the Tian Tan Buddha Statue is truly a sight to witness. To begin your adventure in Lantau, take up the Ngong Ping 360 cable car ride and stop by the cultural village, Po Lin Monastery and other nearby landmarks.

Aside from millions of people cramming into a very small space around every corner of the city, you could see the other side of the city state in Kowloon and explore traditional fishing villages, quaint beaches as well as hiking trails. A family vacation? Hong Kong is definitely a great idea!

Other things to do in Hong Kong: Sightseeing at Victoria Peak, take the TramOramic Tour, go for a hike at Dragon’s Back Hiking Trail, visit Tai O Fishing Village, enjoy good times at Hong Kong Disneyland, indulge in local food at Temple Street Night Market.

You haven’t seen enough of the harbour city until you’ve taken the Bondi to Coogee Walk, one of the most spectacular coastlines where you can then frolic on some of Sydney’s best beaches. As it also has a rich marine life, you can take the chance to spot sea creatures at Shelly Beach, Clovelly Beach and Gordons Bay. Just be sure to bring your goggles! Another great idea if you’re traveling to Sydney in a group is to experience caravan camping at a caravan park or camp grounds around Sydney’s relaxing suburbs.

Looking for more thrilling adventures? Visit Royal National Park, the second oldest national park in the world to explore over 100km of walking tracks that will lead you through lush rainforests, over cliffs, and down to amazing beaches!

Other things to do in Sydney: See the Sydney Opera House, check out the Royal Botanic Gardens, catch some waves at Bondi Beach, enjoy fun rides at Luna Park Sydney, pay a visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park or Wild Life Sydney Zoo.

It’s pretty difficult not to have a good time in London. Before you start eating your way around the many food markets, make time to geek on some of the world’s famous museums and galleries here in the city too! Some of them are free, like Tate Modern’s permanent collection, where you can find works by the likes of Warhol, Dali and Hockney.

As London is simply whatever you want it to be, you’ll definitely have a great holiday here to relax at one of the many beautiful public parks or locally owned cafes, before dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Apart from the famed Oxford Street, you can also splurge on a shopping spree at Carnaby Street as it carries some cool brands too. Or, hunt for antiques at Portobello Road Market where you’re able to grab vintage items or hand-me-downs at a good bargain.

We’re completely spoilt for choice with the brilliant things to do in Taipei! The city where ancient meets modern, Taipei also attracts foodies from all over the world with its amazing street food available at night markets and hawker centres. The best place would be Shilin Night Market, but for lesser crowds, opt for Tonghua, Rahoe, Ningxia or Huaxi night markets to sample their local delicacies. Another must-see after Taipei 101 is Chiang Kai Shek memorial, a controversial figure in Taiwan’s history.

At Dadaocheng district, you can stock up on Chinese meds, teas and traditional snacks to bring home and travel back to 1980s at Bo Pi Liao district, where preserved buildings and traditional shophouses dating back to the Qing period can still be found.

Need a refreshing retreat? Take the MRT to Beitou, the base of Yangming Mountain to enjoy a soak in a hot spring at the foot of a dormant volcano. Don’t forget to check out the Hell Valley, where you can see an enormous steaming hot spring source!
