For the first time ever, Traveloka Malaysia is hosting an awards program to recognize hotel partners for their continuous hard work in providing top quality services to Traveloka’s guests. Based on the great support that the brand has received from its hotel partners throughout the years, Traveloka Malaysia is the first country in the Southeast Asia region to host the Traveloka Hotel Awards after Indonesia. The awards were first introduced in the brand’s home country, Indonesia, back in 2017.

Angelica Chan, Country Market Manager of Traveloka Malaysia, said that the awards were created specifically to give appreciation to the best hotel partners that were successful in creating a well-rounded experience for each guest.

“It has been more than three years since our inception in the Malaysian market. This award is one of the ways of showing our appreciation to our hotel partners for their continuous hard work in providing top quality services to Traveloka’s guests,” she said.

Chan added that the initiative will encourage hotel partners to continue in providing guests’ great experiences to gain positive reviews on Traveloka’s platforms.

“Our guests are always looking for a hotel with great deals and services. Hence, this is why we always encourage them to share their feedback after their stay. We value each and every guests’ feedback, hoping that it will not only help improve the overall hospitality industry but particularly to increase Traveloka’s positioning as a one-stop booking destination platform,” Chan concluded.

During the ceremony, Traveloka Malaysia announced 28 winners from its hotel partners in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Pahang and Negeri Sembilan, which was held at The Grounds KL, MAHSA Avenue recently.

The nominees are segmented into three different tiers:

Prestige: 4-5 stars hotels (Exclusive hotels with a beyond-expectations stay)

Premium: 3 stars hotels (Comfortable hotels with the best stay experience)

Value: 1-2 stars hotels (High-quality hotels with value-for-money experiences)

Winners are selected and evaluated based on the compilation of positive guests' reviews and feedback on Traveloka from the year 2018. Within the three tiers, winners were identified based on these four awards categories:

Best Guest Experience in Service

Best Guest Experience in Food
