Planning a journey from Singapore? Shenzhen Airport (SZX), officially Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, serves Shenzhen from Bao’an District in Guangdong, China. Terminal 3 handles domestic and international passengers. The domestic Satellite Concourse provides additional boarding areas, reached after check-in and security in T3. The Ground Transport Centre, or GTC, connects the terminal with metro, rail and road transport. Plan the journey around T3 first; a satellite boarding assignment means an additional movement after passenger checks, rather than a separate place to begin check-in.
The departure and check-in hall is on level 4 of Terminal 3. Domestic and international passengers use T3, with the processing area determined by the flight. Its airlines include:
Confirm the operating airline and terminal on the e-ticket before travelling. The list helps with airport planning; it does not determine where an individual flight boards or the itinerary available on your selected date.
For a domestic flight boarding in the satellite, complete check-in and security in T3. The automated people mover runs from T3 B1 to the Satellite Concourse B1; follow the signs onwards to the satellite’s level 3 departure area. Arriving satellite passengers return to T3 for baggage collection and ground transport. Keep this movement in mind when allowing time for the flight.
Airport station is reached from inside the GTC and is served by Metro Line 11. The line connects towards Futian and the central city. Check the onward metro route to the address you need, including any change, rather than treating the airport train as a direct service to every district.
Shenzhen Airport railway station connects through the terminal and GTC, with rail routes towards Dongguan and Guangzhou. Match the station and train destination to your booking. Metro and intercity trains are different services, so use the signs for the journey you intend to take.
Airport Express coaches leave from the west outside platform of the GTC for city districts. Read the destination before boarding and plan the onward trip from the arrival stop to your final address. On the return to SZX, include time to reach T3 check-in after arriving at the transport centre.
Taxis and app-booked cars use designated pickup areas in the GTC. Their pickup zones are distinct, so follow the directions for your chosen service and confirm the meeting point in the booking app. Have the complete destination ready before beginning the road journey.
P1, P2 and P3 are near the GTC. P4 provides long-stay parking with a free shuttle to the GTC. Choose parking suited to your stay and include the shuttle leg when planning an arrival from P4. Record your parking location before continuing to the terminal.
Food and drink outlets and shops are available in terminal commercial areas. Choose somewhere in the passenger area you can access and leave time to reach boarding. Foreign-currency exchange facilities are in T3; use the directory to locate an outlet on your arrival or departure route and check the transaction conditions.
Mother-and-baby rooms and children’s play areas are available at the airport. Request flight-related wheelchair assistance through your airline before travel. The satellite has charging facilities at seats and charging bars; check that a point suits your device and keep your boarding information accessible while waiting.
Use the airline’s check-in and bag-drop deadlines to plan when to reach SZX. Allow for the journey through the GTC, security and any people-mover trip to the satellite concourse. For a connection, ask your airline whether baggage needs collection or further check-in before following the onward boarding directions.
Consult official entry and transit guidance for your international itinerary. Review airline messages before leaving for the airport and use the Traveloka flight status page when checking the booked service.
For a Shenzhen trip, compare the available flight cards and run a search for your route and dates. The SZX schedule tables present a selection of upcoming flights by date, airline and scheduled time. Check the operating flight and baggage allowance before choosing, then plan the journey to T3.
