What Guests Say About Their Stay

For what it was it was great. Glad i decided to have my own private bathroom. It was big. For just being outside the valley was perfect. I recieved two warm towels just after check in. I didn't use it but their shared kitchen was amazingly. As someone with a cooking back ground it was pretty close to being commercial. Was pretty impressed.

It suited me very well, a little noisy but comfortable. The room was small but cost. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Clean room and ensuite. Room had the necessities and was comfortable. Staff were friendly upon arrival. The Fortitude Valley metro shopping precinct and train station are within convenient walking distance. The Ekka is extremely close and less than a 2 minute walk away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and was exactly what we needed.

Rooms are noisy. People smoking in non smoking areas. Dirty sink in my room. The jug was full of black stuff. Every time I tried to clean the jug, more black floaty bits came out I doubt the bedspreads are washed. Terrible pillow. Bare timber bench top. Poorly maintained. Bathroom was so small I chose to dry myself in my room. Dreadful

Nice area and building, good common areas. However, it is a very old building, everything is timber, and you can hear it creak and crack when anything moves. We felt like we didnt have any privacy because we could hear people talk in the next room, which means they could hear us too. Mould in the AC wasnt too good either, luckily for us we had family in the area with a spare room. So we stayed with them for most of the time. We also didnt have any chairs in our room which was annoying and not comfy if you just want to chill out after a day of exploring. We felt like the room was very dirty, though we didnt see anything dirty it was more likey we felt like that because of the mould and the price of the accommodation. Also we had a very crazy guest next to us that decided to start screaming at 6am. Not much you can do with crazy guests but if there was more soundproofing that would have helped greatly.

We stayed in the loft room and were really surprised by how big it was – very spacious with three beds (even though there were only two of us). The price was very affordable and the location is great, within walking distance to lots of places. The staff were lovely and helpful. However, the room felt a bit creepy, and dated. At night was quite noisy. We could hear people outside and in the lobby late into the night. Also, there wasn’t any washing-up liquid or cutlery provided, which made it a bit tricky to clean dishes. Overall, decent value for money but could use a few small improvements.
