Stayed here in 2024 and loved it, but our last visit we had a much different experience- it was noisy, hearing other guests through the walls, and rubbish over the grounds - plus had issues with toilet flushing - having to press it 4-5 times to flush and water pressure was non existent - especially when you could hear others using the water too - felt like I needed to time when I showered and used the toilet.

My main problem with the North Brisbane B&B and Winery is that they advertise things they don't provide. The website says they offer an "optional breakfast", which they don't (so, not really a B&B then). And while the place does appear to be a working winery, there is no place where you can go to taste or buy their wine as you would expect after reading their website. What you are left with is a modest accommodation on a pretty piece of land with a lot of local bird species to look at. Fine in and of itself, but just a lot less than was promised.

We arrived at this property at 7.50pm. We were supposed to be able to check in up to 10pm but there was no-one there and everything was dark. There was no indication that we were expected or which room was ours. We tried to call, we hooted the horn (as advised on a notice), we rang a bell but absolutely nothing. We were on the point of giving up and trying to find somewhere else to stay when another couple turned up. They had already stayed the previous night and they helped us to eventually contact the owner - though it wasn’t straightforward. The owner then told us (over the phone)which room we were in and the other couple helped us to find it and also helped us find milk to make a cup of tea. We didn’t ever see the owner and I have no idea how we would have ordered breakfast for the morning which we’d planned on doing. The room itself was lovely and we loved sitting in bed watching the birds. We even saw a kookaburra!! But the whole arrival process was so stressful that it completely spoilt our stay.
