Getting from Launceston Airport (LST) to Commodore Regent is a breeze with several convenient options. Whether you're after speed or budget-friendliness, there's a transfer from airport to hotel to suit your needs. Here's a breakdown of your choices for a smooth hotel transfer:
  • Taxi (Most Direct):

A taxi is the quickest way to reach the Commodore Regent. You'll find taxi ranks outside the airport terminal. Expect a journey of around 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic.
  • Ride Hailing (Convenient):

Ride-hailing services offer a convenient alternative to taxis. Simply book a ride through the app after collecting your luggage. The pick-up point is usually located in a designated area outside the terminal.
  • Airport Shuttle (Budget-Friendly):

Several shuttle services operate between Launceston Airport and city hotels, including Commodore Regent. These are generally more affordable than taxis, but the journey time may be longer due to multiple stops.

While not the most direct, the public bus is the cheapest option. You'll need to take a bus from the airport to the Launceston Transit Centre and then walk or take a short taxi ride to the hotel.

Tips:

For the most convenient route, a taxi or ride-hailing service is recommended, especially if you have luggage. Property in handy walking distance to city centre, across the road from City Park & short drive to shopping centres and sporting facilities. Did not appreciate lack of any shelf in shower cubicle (not everyone has the dexterity to pick up shower items off the floor - put a shelf in the shower!) minimalist bathroom vanity with no bench area to put anything anywhere and small cupboard below was fully used to store toilet paper) and pathetic cheap wardrobe unit in bedroom. Wardrobe doors and drawers clashed and unit swayed around. Cheapest flat pack furniture imaginable. Not good enough in view of tariff charged. A suitable quality built-in wardrobe unit is really the standard here. Improvements needed, then the accommodation would be very pleasant. No rubbish bin in bathroom. Very usual to have 2 bins in hotel/motel accommodation. Lack of onsite management for a 44 room accommodation establishment does not seem appropriate for these times. I have never encountered an establishment of this size without an onsite presence at all. Could be a bit unnerving if any security or other issues arose. Overall needs some improvements. An onsite laundry is really needed as well instead of driving 2 kms down the road to use a commercial laundromat. Guests don’t really have the luxury of a couple of hours to supervise their clothes being washed elsewhere.

Standard ?king? with jetted spa bath. Great stuff! Lovely location across from park. Room spacious. Clean. Efforts being made to spruce up property generally (team of half dozen painters). What more could you want? I will tell you .. a microwave (and toaster)! We arrived with a (wasted) Chinese dinner, knowing there were no easily accessible eating outlets nearby we came with dinner (now cold). No microwave .. A completely wasted dinner!! And no staff to appoach! Checking back through reviews, this seems to have been policy for a couple of years. Combined with 'no toaster', (and no staff), I can only conclude that policy is that such things are messy - don't provide them. (Next? Guests tend to dirty bed linen .. hmm?) Pretty ok room - penny pinching/smart**** management knows best Would not return, at any price, minus some sort of food warmer .. it's called a microwave - and you can even see where it prob was! Cheers

We had a very comfortable stay. Quiet location beside a beautiful city park. Walking distance to city centre, pub with meals and supermarket. Good size clean and modern room with king bed and great shower. Off street parking outside room. Although not staffed, key collection and instructions were very detailed and clear. Only improvements would be a smart TV and larger bar fridge. We would stay again.
