The main restaurant was excellent and the room was comfortable but we would have prefered one with its own bathroom ( that could be my booking online error though)

The air-conditioned lodges were very nice with an outdoor sitting area for each one. It was convenient to the Yellow River cruises when we visited in April. The main pool was noisy and meant for families, while there was limited seating at the smaller, quieter pool. The main restaurant, Mimi’s, served wonderful food for dinner, but the hot breakfast there was outrageously priced. At the outdoor restaurant, the food was just ok and they took advantage of the remote location by charging us $18 for a pint of beer. The Margherita pizza had no basil on it, just the dried herb. Staff at the shop/tour kiosk were very nice, although our room wasn’t ready at check in time and we had to chase down the staff member who had promised to call us when it was. Overall though, a good place to stay in Kakadu.

Our stay was during the wet, off-season so we did not have the property when it was at its best. However, the staff were very friendly but dining options were very limited - especially for me as a vegetarian - and the place had a slight overall shabbiness which means it’s a 3 overall from me.

Cooinda was a beautiful clean well kept resort. The lodge we had was really modern and comfortable. Comfy bed and pillows, good air con, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee etc. The resort was big enough to go for a walk in the mornings and a fantastic swimming pool to do laps. The restaurant provided a good breakfast with a good coffee machine, a juicer to make fresh orange juice and a vegetable juicer maker also. The restaurant in the evening also had quality meals from barramundi, steak, pasta, pizzas, seafood etc. The staff throughout the resort were always pleasant and helpful. Really loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.

The hotel rooms are situated in a beautiful garden setting. Due to remote location, the room and restaurant prices were the most expensive where we have visited in NT. For the price we paid, the room was very basic. Small bathroom sink, leaky shower , no indoor sitting area or sitting space at all. However, the outdoor sitting was pleasant. The room is clean, not big but with comfortable beds, instant coffee and tea bags.

It was not revealed to us at time of booking. No toilet or hand basin in unit. For over $470 for one nights use with a check in time of 3pm with check out at 10am this does not equal a full day. Toilet facilities were a walk through leaf covered grounds during the night with a faulty key pad at the amenities block. Overall a very disappointing booking and stay.
