This trip business visited several cities in aussie, macleay is the 4th hotel I live in and I think it's the best. The friendly receptionist informed me at check in that I would be given a room with a beautiful view. Sure enough. Sy was given room 902 on top floor and from my room window i can see view opera sydney and sydney harbor let alone at that time satnight, i see firework in sydney opera enough from window of room. It's awesome. Full kitchen set, clean room. And the location is fun.

This was my third stay. I will always return for the view, the staff service and the price. The area surrounding the hotel is terrific. No need to travel into Sydney's CBD, however, if you do need to visit the city, there are many options nearby. A bus out the front and 5 minute walk to Kind Cross station. The restaurants around the hotel are spectacular too. But that view! 180 degree view from the harbour Bridge to the Heads. Love this place!

There is no safe in the room or the hotel, money and valuables are exposed. The windows are thin so its noisy and the ac has no thermostat only on or off. Definitely not worth the price.

The room was quiet, even being right beside the elevator. A little run down but very clean and location convenient. The parking was very limited and the spots were extremely tight.

We booked a harbour view which we got. Our room was a fold out bed,I booked a Queen bed it was lucky to be a double, a camping hot plate as the kitchen stove and a shower door that didn’t close. We were near the washing machines and there is no restriction on when they can be used or first night they operated till 2am.My sister room same price was 5 star on the same floor

The choice of hot porridge with a luxuriously rich mix of stewed fruit from the breakfast menu was such a delight during my winter stay. I'm not sure what local kitchen this is ordered from but keep it coming. Delicious! Room had the most glorious uninterrupted views across Sydney Harbour however in general the decor and bathroom needs updating which would literally grow the spaces 1000 percent. Also, this goes for every hotel/motel style accommodation where I've stayed . . . .. and that is hooks, hooks and more clothing hooks and/or places to hang towels, clothing etc.. in the bathroom or elsewhere. A folding luggage rack wouldn't go astray either, even if it is something that can be requested during or prior to a stay. This property is in a fun, village-like location and the staff were lovely and super helpful but it's the little extras that would take the experience to another level.
