This trip business visited several cities in aussie, macleay is the 4th hotel I live in and I think it's the best. The friendly receptionist informed me at check in that I would be given a room with a beautiful view. Sure enough. Sy was given room 902 on top floor and from my room window i can see view opera sydney and sydney harbor let alone at that time satnight, i see firework in sydney opera enough from window of room. It's awesome. Full kitchen set, clean room. And the location is fun.

For a budget choice the Macleay Hotel ticked all our needs. Clean, comfortable and central to our needs while visiting Sydney. Parking made easy. Front desk upgraded us to a better room. Not expensive but what a view across to the harbour bridge. I imagined what New Year’s Eve would be like from that vantage point. An experience that we’d repeat.

Great staff front desk. I booked a regular room. I am one leg amputee. Staff helped with accessible setup. Provided shower chair. I had my own suction grab bars. I think it worked for me because I had family members helping. Generally I suggest getting an accessible room.

I'm extremely disappointed that the room I booked with a harbour bridge view wasn't provided. Despite paying for that specific room, I was given one without the view. To make matters worse, the bathroom lacks an exhaust fan. I've already complained to the reception, but they claim the hotel is fully booked. I believe I'm entitled to a rebate for not receiving the room I paid for.

Good place to stroll around from the hotel. Frequent buses opposite to hotel for Central and Millars St.(QVB). I have enjoyed the stay. The room is a bit congested for 4.
