great location on the heart of Chinatown on George street, close to public transport and lots of late night restaurants. the property is also fantastic, with lots of amenities inside the room including laundry machine, dishwasher, pots and pans, and a full kitchen. The room itself is large, comfortable and clean. Only downside is the relatively early check out time, at 10am, which is earlier than other places which offer 11am or 12 pm check out.

This apartment/hotel is in excellent condition. The apartment (one bedroom) is spacious and has everything one would need. If you like to be in the middle of everything you'll love this place. You can't get more central. You can't get more convenient. The reception is extremely helpful.

The stay was alright. We were a bit underwhelmed and slightly disappointed with some of the conditions. There was a roof leak in the laundry which we reported to reception but they didn’t seem to think it was a concern. Our access card kept faulting and not accessing our room, we had to go down to reception twice. The shower head was spurting everywhere and obviously needed a deep clean. Was good for the night, but we will probably stay elsewhere next time.

I stay here for the convenience. Close to the light rail and the Capitol Theatre. The room was only serviced once (which I knew). Staff were responsive to a couple of minor maintenance problems. I was unable to get a hand towel or a face washer but ended up with six bath towels and 3 bath mats instead.

Great location! The beds were very comfortable. The cleanliness of the room was not of the standard I useually see at Merito properties. I had requested single beds in the reservation jut had to request again after check-in. The spa had brown sludge floating at the edge.

Where to begin? We arrived at 1pm to drop our luggage. Our room was being made up so I confirmed our request for twin bed sleeping, which came a surprise to the reception team. Regardless, we were assured that the room would be set for twin bed accommodation since it was behind me up. When we arrived at 3, it will hadn't been done. We were then told someone would come up soon to do it. An hr later, no one had come and needing additional towel we attempted to ring reception but our phone didn't work.

We stayed in the Meriton during our visit to Sydney. Initial check in was great, friendly staff member and the hotel room was nice enough. Unfortunately we were awoken very early morning due to drilling and banging directly outside our room on the lifts. This was unfortunate as I was awoken with a shock which left me feeling panicked. I was unable to get back to sleep because of the noise, which completely ruined my day as I was left feeling drained and tired. I did tell the staff about this upon check out, however the staff member I spoke to was quite dismissive and told me the contract to repair the lift was from 7am and I should have been told upon check in (which I wasn’t). Just overall left feeling disappointed about this experience.

Spacious studio room. Nice to have the additional facilities. Washing machine for a longer stay is handy. Couldn’t get the clothes dryer to work. Housekeeping only comes every 3 days which is fine but just something to know. I did think it was odd that coffee/tea was not replaced. You just get the initial pods, even after housekeeping which i thought was a little stingy. Great location. Handy to the light rail/tram. Would stay there again or a sister property.
