Need to figure out the best way to get to Sandown Regency from Melbourne Airport (MEL)? Don't worry, we've got you covered! Here are a few options to consider for your hotel transfer:
  • Taxi or Ride Hailing (Most Direct):

A taxi or ride-hailing service will take you directly from the airport to the hotel. This is the fastest option, but it can also be the most expensive, with fares potentially ranging from AUD $70 to AUD $90, depending on traffic.
  • SkyBus and Train (Most Affordable):

Take the SkyBus from Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross Station in the city centre (approximately AUD $22). Good location with a short drive to Dandenong, shops and restaurants. The room is due for some renovations and repairs. TV had a faulty wall plug, so I could only access a couple of channels with a bad reception. Toilet seat wouldn’t stay up. Bedside lamps wouldn’t work and the room was very dirty. Dust everywhere, rubbish under the bed and cigarette buts on the balcony. I do have to say, the price is pretty reasonable at $100 per night.

Very run down motel in desperate need of some TLC and a proper clean. My daughter was scared to stay there. I actually went to buy cleaning products so I could disinfect every surface. Dirty towels, filthy pool, it was just terrible in every way. Really frustrating that places like this are allowed to post photos that in no way depict what the place actually looks like.

I do not recommend staying at this property at all. It was absolutely disgusting. Everything was dirty - we had to book a different hotel as we could not stay there because of how dirty the accommodation was. Also, it was noisy and an unsafe environment. We had to request a refund as we could not stay due to the cleanliness and the fact we felt unsafe. The guy on the front desk was understanding. Hopefully the refund won't take too long to come through. We are incredibly disappointed in the state of the room.
