Fabulous place to stay! The location on the lake is stunning, the bar/restaurant is wonderful with delicious food including tofu parmi for veggies, the bottle shop has excellent options and the staff is fun and friendly! The rooms aren't fancy, the furniture a bit sun bleached/older but clean, quiet, and comfortable. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend.

How to go to Tullah Lakeside Lodge from Airport

Planning your hotel transfer from the airport to Tullah Lakeside Lodge? Here are a few options to consider for your journey. Whether you're looking for the fastest or most affordable route, we've got you covered.

  • Taxi (Most Direct):

A taxi from Devonport Airport (approximately 1 hour 45 minutes away) is the most direct way to reach Tullah Lakeside Lodge. While it's the quickest option, it's also the most expensive.
  • Rental Car (Most Flexible):

Renting a car at Devonport Airport gives you the freedom to explore the West Coast at your own pace. The drive to Tullah Lakeside Lodge is scenic and takes around 1 hour 45 minutes.
  • Shuttle Service (Pre-booked):

Some shuttle services operate from Devonport Airport to various locations on the West Coast. You'll need to pre-book and confirm if they service Tullah. This can be a more affordable option than a taxi.
  • Public Transport (Most Budget-Friendly, Least Convenient):

Tips:

For the most convenient route, consider renting a car if you plan to explore the region. If you prefer a hassle-free transfer, a taxi or pre-booked shuttle is your best bet. Check Traveloka for ride-hailing options that might be available in the area for a potentially cheaper alternative to taxis.

The room was tired and probably looked at its best in 1966. The Lodge felt like a mixture between a wedding venue and an old outdoor pursuits centre. It could be an amazing place, it’s in a stunning setting and has potential with significant investment in renovation. Our room was right next to a communal door which caused a vacuum and would rattle our bedroom door, which was pretty disconcerting, but possibly not as bad as the overwhelming smell of damp. Other guests could look into our bed, not just into the room, which meant we had to keep curtains closed at all times. We sampled two meals and one breakfast while staying at the lodge. Meals were pretty tasty and were a generous portion and obviously cooked from fresh. The same could not be said for breakfast. We opted for a buffet breakfast @ $24 each. The offering was bacon, scrambled egg, strange sausages, beans, re-cooked hash brown (sodden with oil) re-fried chicken wings (I think) and baby octopus! We persevered and chose a small selection from the offering, all of which was completely cold! We asked a member of staff if they could microwave our breakfast as it was cold and he actually went to put his hand on the bacon to test the temperature, then thought better of it! He obliged, but when he reappeared and passed us our food, it was still cold and pretty revolting! We even overheard a member of staff using profanities when talking to another guest! Bees and wasps in the restaurant. Staff mostly hospitable
