What Guests Say About Their Stay

Fantastic location, across the street from Mannekin Pis and about a 2 block walk to the main square. Easy commute from at least two train stations. Numerous waffle, fries, and chocolate shops in spitting distance. Although on a main pedestrian street, everything quieted down before 10pm and so I had no problems sleeping. You do need to climb stairs to reach your room, so if you have mobility issues or extra large bags, this might not be for you. I travel with a backpack so a non-issue. Staff was very friendly and check-in was easy. I arrived early and they held my bag until the room was ready. Room included hair dryer, soap, and shampoo. (No conditioner, common in Europe.) Room had a safe. Room was clean, if slightly dated.

It was well located and I was able to sleep well. The owners were very kind but were lacking a little in their organization of organization. I would stay there again if I ever went back to Brussels.

My mother and I stayed here for two nights (as tourists) and we loved it. The staff member who greeted us was really friendly. She later helped us book our train tickets to Paris, which we greatly appreciated. Our room was basic but cute. The best part of this place is the super convenient location that allows quick access to various points of interest for tourists.

I would not describe this accommodation as a "Hotel", it is more on the basis of a Hostel. To begin with, the cover picture should had been much of an indication about the property. The cover picture is what it is, the front of the store that the family also runs. The welcoming & reception area is right outside the store as there is no room inside. One you step inside, it immediately leads you to the rooms by the extremely narrow and steep windy stairs. The room is ok for one person, no more than two. The extra bed that was charged for was nothing else than a very thin mattress cot. The "double/queen" bed was two twins put together in a full size bed frame which prompted the mattresses to sink in the middle for not having the adequate size support. The rooms were superficially clean as the bathrooms had mold and the shower drain clogged. There was too much noise from the outside & guests very early in the morning. Needless to say, location did not compensate how uncomfortable this hostel was. It is classified as non-smoking rooms but due to the structure of the building/rooms, there was a lot of cigarette smoke filtering to the rooms which exacerbated my breathing problems. This is probably inappropriate to mention but on the day we needed to pay for the stay, the owner had an extremely unpleasant alcohol breath that it was hard to handle. Being that this place DOES NOT MEET the american (USA) accommodation standards, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND IT, not even because of location

The rooms are tiny, in very bad need of new furniture , and no elevator have a lot of luggage! the stairs up to the rooms are windy , it is VERY noisy. The street is popular into the late night because of a bar next door , and we had loud conversations floating up to our room both nights until at least 3 am

Nice simple hotel, no wifi!!! No lift. Clean and comfy, and basic. I got there late, and no-one was there, you had to phone and get a code for key box, that was realty difficult to see in the dark. But, you did get an overview of the Mannekin Pis, if that is your thing, and right in the old center

The hotel staff was very friendly and considerate. They helped me carry my heavy suitcase up to the room, call for a taxi when I needed, etc. The street can be a little noisy during the day as Mannekin pis is very close to it but at night it is quite. I would definitely recommend a stay here if you are looking for a clean room w private bathroom but no added frills.

DO NOT STAY HERE! I was roomed @308, the AC was leaking and drops are making sound as it falls on the carpet. I made them aware but unable to change my room that night. The next day, a couple was at the reception desk and happened to also had that room 2 nights ago. The hotel management knew about the problem but they still placed me in the defective room. They only want to give me free breakfast. One word for that hotel, UNACCEPTABLE stay. Good thing hotels.com fixed everything that I am so happy about, but the hotel, a walk from everywhere, the location is sketchy, service is bad and just felt taken advantaged of because im a tourist. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Very cute hotel with good staff and in a perfect location. My friend and I stayed in the top floor room and had a view of the Mannekin-Pis. The room was spacious enough (by European standards), though we hardly spent any time in our room. We were asked if we would like to purchase a breakfast, but in the end the breakfast was given to us for free, which was a nice gesture. The only down side is that there is no elevator for those with big, heavy luggage. Would definitely recommend and stay again, though.
