This review is mainly to praise Marjorie and Roy for doing the right thing. My wife and I had booked a long stay at the Grand Windsock, but after one day I was having severe sensitivities to VOCs in our unit and became massively sick. After a lot of back and forth, Marjorie and Roy came by to investigate. At first they were both very skeptical, but after showing them my VOC meter and allowing them to do their own tests they acknowledged the situation and allowed us out of the 11 day booking. I am grateful that they were willing to investigate and work with us. They could have been greedy and refused the refund, but they showed humanity and compassion and acknowledged the situation. Kudos to the Grand Windsock for having employees such as Marjorie and Roy, and empowering them to make decisions such as these.

The villa was awesome! There is not a restaurant on property but you can go across the road to the beach club. We went to the grocery store and cooked most nights. I loved the grill!! The private pool was relaxing. The property is right next to the airport landing strip so the planes are loud but thankfully there aren’t many planes on the island

The property is 3 minutes from the airport. The beachside restaurant was surprisingly good. These villas are across the street from the ocean, and there is no beach, but there is a steep ladder with approx. 20 steps that gets you into the ocean. There is a local beach 1 minute down the road. I wouldn't walk that road with children, but as an adult it was easy. The grocery stores are 2 minutes away and have everything you need. Our villa had a salt water pool. The water started to turn green, so there was an imbalance in the water chemistry which needed attention but no one came to address it. The check-in process was long and painful. It is done at the main pool cabana, and takes forever. We waited for over an hour, which is unacceptable. The property isn't that big and there was only one other small group checking in at the time.

Grand Windsock is een fantastisch hotel! Het uitzicht is werkelijk adembenemend en maakt het verblijf extra speciaal. De kamers zijn mooi en comfortabel, en de service is top. Ik voel me hier altijd welkom en zou nooit ergens anders willen verblijven. Het is echt een plek waar je graag terugkomt. Absoluut een aanrader!

Just came back from a relaxing stay at Grand Windsock Resort. We loved our unit, and the location was great. The beach is across the street, and it had plenty of lounge chairs in the shade. The water is perfect, plenty of tropical fish to swim around with.
We loved be able to cook and eat in most of our stay, but the kitchen could use some tlc.
Overall, it was a beautiful place to stay and we hope to return.

Beautiful location and convenient. Our 3 bedroom villa was showing signs of age in terms of the outdoor furniture, the indoor sofa, and the problems with the air conditioning unit over and over again. Staff was polite but approach things as though they are on holiday as well. Weird things like no washcloths in the room, no blankets/only sheets, washing machine but no dryer, limited maid service only every 4 days, main pool has rings of green algae… seems like management has their hands full with the staff.
