Catussaba Resort Hotel

We were electrocuted in our shower. Had to change rooms. They knew it was an issue but no effort to fix it.

Não recomendo a ninguém se hospedar no catussaba resort. Hotel extremamente velho. As acomodações do quarto são muito desconfortáveis. Quarto com paredes sujas precisando pintar, teto do banheiro com mofo, o chuveiro não funciona bem, ar condicionado cheio de poeira, cortinas velhas, rasgadas e cheias de poeira, colchões velhos… café da manhã horrível e almoço ruim. Pior experiência da vida. Não recomendo a ninguém.

proximity to airport was my number 1 priority and it was amazing the few steps from beach and access directly form the hotel. Clean and neat environment. Large inviting pool. Friendly stuff and clean room.

Probably the most beautiful beach I've been to in years! Not too safe for swimming because of the heavy surf, but the beach is gorgeous and literally a short walk from my room. Great, friendly staff and extra nice touch was the ability to convert my US cash to local currency. Definitely family friendly so if you don't mind a lot of kids, try booking in the off season or other than weekends. All the pictures on resort website were true to form. Spot on. I'm definitely coming back!

This hotel is located on a beautiful beach, the pool is also beach front. It offers a great Brazilian style breakfast included, with lots of fruits, breads, varieties o cheese, cakes, eggs, pancakes, natural juices, coffee and milk (of course), yogurt, etc. The hotel also has pool tables, ping-pong table, and an area with few animals, like rabbits, chicken, guinea pigs, and also there's peacocks walking in the hotel. Pretty cool!

Staying here is really for the beach. The rooms are old and not well maintained. The bathrooms are not clean. Mine had mushrooms growing in. The staff in the buffet / restaurant can be rude and not helpful. The entire property could use a renovation and a deep cleaning.

An employee there name Jose at restaurant is the best the hotel have.

The hote offers everything you could need or want during a great vacation. We loved the outdoor area and the compound of the hotel. The gardening is great and gave the hotel its charme. The pool is very nice and never felt crowded and the food (especially breakfast) was really good. We loved our stay. But it's necessary to mention that the hotel needs renovation. The rooms are pretty old and run down. It didn't bother us as we knwe that from other reviews but should be considered when booking here.

They are good. The hotel is beautiful. They need to take care more of the rooms.

The property is outdated. Mattress is so hard. Service desk doesn’t see you and even though I was in line, they have been addressing everyone (most males) that come to ask something outside any line. Plus, my check out was completed after 3:00 PM, since they had a system problem. At the pool, it took forever for the waiters to take our order (around 1 hour), plus more two hours to have our order. It used to be a great place to stay, but it’s not anymore.

It’s a great hotel. The rooms need some upgrade but the bed is comfortable enough. The manager Mari is a sweet person and help a lot. It’s easy to use the swimming pool and beach one close to other. It’s safe more than other hotels. There is singer during the evening hours singing “bossa nova “ he is great. It’s good to be there to watch and dance. Walk around the hotel is a pleasure way to feel the beach breeze and lights around the property gives you a good and romantic feeling. The breakfast is delicious but it’s missing something coffee or any other things during the breakfast hours and the ladies that clean the tables needs to be happier. But in other ways the hotel is great. I already came several times and I’m going to keep coming. It’s a time to renew your soul.

Service terrible, not welcoming at all, we feel like we are not welcomed there. Additionally you cannot receive any visit… The only positive is the beach and palm trees that are beautiful. Other than that avoid this place.

Overall it was good. The check-in was very slow and they forgot to put the keys in the envelope. Not enough waiters, so the service was slow, but the staff was very friendly and nice. The entertainers were lovely. One issue: access for wheelchairs in the outside area us a problem.

They need to check the rooms more often. And they need to change the mattress.

This hotel is beautiful. I love the hotel and people. Staff is really good.

They need to change the mattress. They need to give some attention during the breakfast. There’s so many people and we wait a lot for being served and sometimes we need to ask milk and coffee because they are gonna. On the beach they need to give more attention to serve the guests. It looks that we are begging for them to put a chair and umbrella for us. It’s totally different of the pictures when shows all prepared on the sand to the guests.

The property have a great outside area and it is well maintained and divided. The property is well known in Salvador but we can see by the decoration and bedrooms amenities that is in needs of an updated. I was expecting more from it.
