Les Jardins de Rio Boutique Hotel

It was a great pleasure to stay in Les Jardins of Rio.

I will be back next Saturday.

The most ridiculous (non) check in experience I have ever had. Numerous attempts to convey I would arrive later in the evening and for them to make arrangements. They said yes. I arrived @ 22:05, and it was like Marie Celeste, the lights were on, door open, but no-one there. Eventually I found an English couple staying at the hotel, who helped me get a key for an unoccupied room, so I didn’t have to sleep in a chair in reception. I also cut my foot stepping on a piece of glass on the floor in my room. On the positive the gardens are nice, the building is quite pleasant, though lots of steps!!, and the pool was very nice.

Les Jardins is a charming place with beautiful gardens and quiet despite being in Rio! However, it is isolated in streets that are not safe at night; all travel to and from has to be done by Uber.I Only breakfast is provided; all other food has to be ordered online and delivered, although the staff are willing to do the ordering. Breakfast is also served very late - not till 9am. And the room was not cleaned during my stay - apparently I had to ask for this. It was billed as a 4 star hotel but I would say it id more of a stylish pension/b&b. I was the only person staying there.

From the moment we stepped into Les Jardins de Rio Boutique Hotel, we felt right at home. The hospitality here is truly exceptional. The person at the front desk goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and is available at all times. The attentive staff ensures that every need is met promptly and with a smile. This small, quaint hotel has the charm of staying in a museum, with beautifully decorated art rooms, fascinating artifacts, and stunning architecture. The atmosphere is relaxing and unhurried, allowing guests to fully unwind and enjoy their stay. One of the highlights of our visit was the breathtaking views from the rooftop, where you can soak in the beauty of Rio de Janeiro. We were also delighted to see monkeys from our porch, adding a unique touch to our experience. Special mention to Kadosh, one of the exceptional employees, who is incredibly attentive and prepares the best breakfast we’ve ever had. His dedication to ensuring guests have a pleasant stay is truly commendable. Overall, Les Jardins de Rio Boutique Hotel offers a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and outstanding service. Highly recommended for anyone looking to feel at home while exploring the wonders of Rio.

Great property, amazing host. I loved the place very much. Roof top got view to Christ the redeemer. One of the best property I have stayed in.

We arrived at the hotel shortly after 8pm in a mega rain storm..... and we couldn't get in. We buzzed, we yelled and knocked, we called 3 times, and there was no one to recieve us. We stood there for almost 30 mins, in a downpour, in front of the door, and it was terrible. We paid over 100usd and I am livid! We have called more than a dozen times and no answer. I am demanding a refund, and a way for the hotel to make this terrible experience correct.

It's a big house and a very nice one. I felt like I had the house to myself. Breakfast is very limited

The moment we arrived we realized that we could not of made a better choice for what we were looking for in Rio. I never usually take the time to review hotels. Some of the highlights: every moment of the day there was somebody available for whatever we needed. I felt like the staff was truly happy that we were there. For a busy crowded city like Rio, the property was very spacious. Even though there were other guests, we felt like we had the place to ourselves The guest house was very clean and smooth lines of the architecture were very cool

the hotel is a big house with lots of character. it is not located in Santa Teresa as it said on hotels.com but in Cosme velho which is a quiet residential area: there are no shops or restaurants around. we had to take taxis everywhere. staff is very helpful but we had to ask for clean towels and they only clean the room if you leave your keys. the breakfast was absolutely amazing and there are great views. a very relaxing place to spend a few days.

This is really a B&B not a hotel. It is a single house and the bedrooms are the hotel rooms. The house is absolutely beautiful, but sounds carry very easily, and there are not many hotel-like amenities. Wifi was a bit spotty, there are no room fridges or phones, and it is in a very remote residential area. The only site within walking distance is the train to Corcovado, so everything requires a taxi ride. I highly recommend this hotel for those who want an escape from the city and lounge in the beautiful sitting rooms or on the roof deck.

First trip to Brasil. Wanted to stay in a small, quiet hotel or inn. RLJ was exactly that. Low key however great personal attention to our needs. Arranged taxis when needed, suggested great restaurants, and had a personal touch on everything. The hotel is quiet and relaxing. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The well placed art and decor made it interesting and unique. Would definitely come back on a future trip. Would be a romantic location for a traveling couple.

Service was outstanding, owners, manager, everyone was very helpful. The hotel is beautiful, chic and stylish.... A place to relax after visiting Rio. Breakfast was special not only because of the place and the view it has where it was served, but because it was prepared to the detail. I hope to go back soon.

Fui pro show da Lady Gaga e estava buscando apenas uma estadia confortável, mesmo que longe da praia. O Les Jardins foi um achado porque não tive a experiência de um hotel convencional. Em vez disso o espaço me proporcionou uma outra experiência do Rio de Janeiro, diferente daquela que vemos na TV, de festas e praia. É uma experiência voltada pro Rio da Mata Atlântica, com sua fauna e flora exuberantes, da arquitetura, da literatura e das artes. No Cosme Velho pude sentir outro ritmo da cidade, imaginar como ali viveram pessoas que fizeram história, como Machado de Assis. A proprietária do local é artista, de forma que suas obras se encontram expostas no local, o que me deu insights valiosos sobre como o Rio é uma cidade que inspira. Do rooftop do hotel, a vista pro Cristo Redentor. O Rio é definitivamente singular. Acordar cedo, com o barulho dos pássaros e fazer yoga com essa vista foi gratificante. Pra quem respira arte e busca por um refúgio, esse é o local. Sobre o atendimento só tenho agradecer a todos da equipe, da cozinha, pelas conversas, pelo café da manhã. E um dos grandes pontos da estadia, tão afetuoso quanto o próprio lugar foi ter a oportunidade de ser atendida e conversar com o Kadosh. Cuidou da reserva com muita atenção, se comunicou prontamente via WhatsApp, é uma pessoa vibrante e de muita serenidade, sinto que tivemos trocas tão boas que deu até vontade de ser amiga. Outro ponto alto é que há senha para entrar no hotel e você não precisa andar com chave

O hotel é maravilhoso, além disso foram super gentis nos dando um upgrade quando descobriram que escolhemos o hotel para passar a noite de núpcias.

Her får du stille omgivelser men en følelse at du er litt inni en jungel, jeg fikk møte 2 typer aper som henger rundt hotelet, de kom nesten helt til deg, å det var papegøyer å andre fine fugler som jeg fikk øye på, fantastisk.

Hôtel avec une deco contemporaine, un rooftop avec une belle vue, le petit dej hyper frais et varié et surtout un service extra!

O hotel é maravilhoso e as instalações são muito melhores do que as fotos! Ficamos no quarto laranja, que é muito espaçoso, tem uma banheira enorme. Os funcionários são muito simpáticos e as áreas comuns são bem conservadas e agradáveis. Com certeza voltaríamos!

O hotel me surpreendeu positivamente, quarto amplo , confortável excelente para relaxar . O funcionário foi super atencioso , a proprietária do espaco foi muito simpática . Excelete opção de vinho, local com obras de arte , e decoração de bom gosto . Com certeza voltaremos .
