Good stay no real complaints. Hotel is a bit dated and I didn’t feel like it was really a 5-star hotel, but there are different levels to 5-star hotels and for the price it was fine. Gym is lacking for sure. Indoor pool and sauna was decent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Luckily I speak Spanish and can survive with my basic Portuguese as well because most of the staff does not speak English which again for a 5-stat hotel I thought was a bit unusual, but that is how Brazil mostly is and nothing against the staff they were all very nice. The location is nice. I was there for Christmas Eve and they had a nice buffet with all you can eat and drink included plus live music. The food options were plentiful and good quality. The breakfast buffet was ok. The food menu for lunch was just ok. The rooms were decent, clean and nice big bed. For the price I paid I would stay again. It was significantly less money than many of the other 5-star hotels in Sao Paulo.

Nice room. Pool area good but pool too hot, but better than being too cold so maybe not too much of a problem. Dry sauna was too cold, steam sauna was fantastic. Excellent location on Paulista Avenue. Good breakfast

I enjoyed my stay at Melia Paulista! And would maybe stay again. Location is excellent, at the heart of Avenida Paulista, close to many shops, restaurants, and galleries. I valued this a lot. The room was a good size, and bathroom decent size too. It had everything I needed, and I was impressed that breakfast was included as well. Service was always friendly, though early check-in required an additional charge. For many flights arriving in the morning, this adds cost. A major downside for me was that the in-room fridge is on some kind of wooden stand that sticks out, and I hit my foot on it, causing a lot of blood. The stand isn’t really necessary and now I have had to wrap up the injury for a week. So it’s a good hotel, just be careful!

TERRIBLE! I booked a room with a view. At check in, the male said the view we wanted wasn’t available but the room we would get would have a nice view. Well that was NOT the case. We faced a white ugly building! But the view is not the worst part. The shower floods with every bath as the water doesn’t flow fast enough! The A/C is very loud. The breakfast has a hefty price but the choices were limited — breads, fruit, and cake with no icing. At check out, they charged us for drinking water. They explained we were supposed to have a jar of complimentary water in our room (we didn’t). They never, at any point, tried to correct their mistakes. For a comparable experience, take your money to a Super 8 or a Days Inn. Needless to say we will never be back and will take our money to a Hilton next time.

Aterrorizante. Recepcionista nos trataram como lixo, cama do quarto dura (acordamos com muita dor na coluna para ir ao procedimento cirurgico no Sirio), banheiro minúsculo (os joelhos ficam na porta porque o vaso é na porta, a pia no seu rosto enquanto vc usa-o, a ducha fica nas suas costas e o lixo colado na sua perna! A gerente sem nenhum perfil para esse cargo. Cagou para minha situação de saúde! Passei mal de nervosa, passei a noite em claro por isso, só querendo sair dali! Pagamos 1725,00 em cada diária para sermos tratados como lixo!
