Great hotel, but if you’re on the lower level the walls are paper thin. The people above us we could hear everything. The breakfast was a nice addition, basic breakfast. About 20 min from Niagara Falls.

The gentleman who checked us in was great. He was full of suggestions of activities, food, and places to visit. I think his name is John. The hotel was clean, smelled good, and the breakfast was excellent. Our only complaint was walking into our hotel room around 1a after a long day of sightseeing, to see a cockroach coming up out of the kitchen sink. There were 4 of us in the room, 2 elderly, 1 wheelchair bound. First instinct was to quickly run hot water over the roach and allow it to go down the drain. My cousin then stopped up the drain and filled the bottom of the sink with water. That was the way we left it until checkout. We made the woman at the front desk aware of the situation, only to hear that's odd. That's never happened before. I'll have someone look into it. We proceeded to leave, when my cousin realized she left her thermal cup in the room. She was allowed to go and retrieve it. There was another woman who met her at the room door questioning her about the roach and saying that has never happened before. Ok, maybe it's never happened before, but it happened on August 9th at 1a. Why would we lie about a roach? We didn't even ask for a discount or our money back which rightfully we should have. The staff didn't seem to believe us, and I wish we had taken a picture or video, but at 1a all we wanted to do was get rid of it. Hopefully the hotel will take the situation serious and fumigate. We suggest putting all food and wrappers in the fridge to be cautious.
