Hotel quality exceeded expectations and staff was extremely nice and helpful. Barney's was a great place to grab a meal and it was only steps from our room.

The pub onsite “Barney’s” has excellent food and the waitresses, Michelle and Dani, were very personal and fun!! The beds and pillows were so comfortable as well. Everything you need in the rooms. We will definitely come back.

The tv did not work so no tv. Gave me discount of 16 90 thats all. Was very inconvenient.

Clean, safe. Comfortable bed. Really friendly staff in the lounge. Decent food & wine. Great front desk staff & a very good deal on a nice breakfast. I was here on my own, senior female. I would stay here again.

Rooms are good, the lady who checked me in was phenomenal but the staff the next morning from both the restaurant and the front desk were definitely not happy to be at work in the morning and less than impressed to have to do their jobs. I booked 11 rooms direct with the hotel for the week after this booking and there was a couple errors, one guy had the wrong checkout date and there was no breakfast vouchers included when they were requested and the lady at the front desk was very rude about having to make any changes. Our company seems to like to use this place and they seem to think they are the only option in town when the lodge across the road is a far better choice.

I asked if we could plug in our PHEV Pacifica (120volt charger) and they said sure no problem. The check in was really quick.

No hot tub and pool.

We recently stayed at the Wayside Inn to attend a family funeral. We were warmly greeted by Amanda at the front desk, and she gave us our keys and vouchers to the $5 breakfast (regular price is $16). The rooms, while not large, had everything we needed, including an iron/ironing board, hairdryer, a good-sized bar fridge, a built-in desk and chair, and a comfy chair and ottoman. My husband was pleased with the large good-quality TV and channel lineup, which included several sports stations, to his delight! The hotel has two restaurants: O'Briens for breakfast and early lunch, and Barney's Pub for lunch, dinner and beyond (loads of seating at the bar and in the large rooms, as well as a cute little patio - very pleasant staff, as well). I think the even-numbered rooms actually look out on the patio and fountain, while the others look out on the parking lot, which is quiet. The premises were very clean (saw the hall being vacuumed and walls wiped down every day during our 4-days stay), with extra ample elevators and a small but functional exercise room downstairs. The Wayside Inn is within easy walking distance of a Subways and a well-stocked Safeway for groceries (also houses a small Starbuck's for you coffee lovers - opens at 7 a.m.) and several other restaurants. We found all the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. This will definitely be our hotel of choice the next time we're in Wetaskiwin.

The kleenex & toilet paper needs to be a thicker ply. Absolute garbage unless you use 3x of what you would normally use! Otherwise everything was great!!
