Hampton Inn by Hilton Edmonton/South Alberta Canada

The daily breakfast was delicious with wonderful variety to choose from and truly tasty items. Our room and bathroom were clean and had everything we needed with plenty of room for both my husband, myself, and our 5 year old son. We appreciated that the sofa bed was comfortable enough for our little son to sleep on happily every night. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub! It was clean and had towels to use right there. We will stay again!

We accidentally booked Hampton South instead of our usual stay at Hampton West, and I must say, this location is a major disappointment and a disservice to the brand. The hotel is outdated, with musty odors, dirty carpets, worn-out furniture, and unhelpful staff. We were placed in a King Suite on the second floor, and the carpet near the elevator is visibly scrunched up—clearly in need of replacement for at least two decades. Our room reeked of cigarette smoke, and when I brought this to the front desk’s attention, they offered no solution. The next day, I received a text asking about our stay, to which I responded that it was not good and that I wanted to check out and move to Hampton West. The reply I received was simply, “Come check out. Unfortunately, since you prepaid, it’s non-refundable.” When I pointed out that this response contradicted Hampton’s satisfaction guarantee, the employee never replied. The breakfast setup also fell short—using single-use plates and cutlery, unlike Hampton West in Edmonton. Every aspect of the stay, from service to amenities, felt like a budget motel experience at best. Hampton’s management at this location needs serious intervention, or Hilton should consider selling it altogether

Very clean and comfortable

The guy at the desk was very good! 5 star to him!

Faulty water faucet. Water gets too hot. Room ceiling had boot prints as it appears someone tall enough was able to stand on a chair and stamp a dirty boot on the ceiling. Can’t lie about this! Missing body lotion. Closet smells bad and the extra blanket that was provided in the closet was stained and dirty. In room coffee selections were limited to decaf only. Inconvenient checkout process so don’t expect express checkout.

Our first night was great. The second night we came back at 10 and there was a horrible noise, like a washing machine spin cycle. The walls were vibrating so bad my Pepsi bottle fell off of the night table. I complained to the front desk at 10:30. They finally sent a guy up at 11:45. He stayed in the hallway the whole time, he asked me if I was causing the noise and when I said I wasn’t he said they would investigate it further but there was really nothing they could do because maintenance was gone until morning. Really?!? The noise continued all the way until we left in the morning. Worst hotel stay ever!!

Breakfast was great with a good amount of options. The pool and hot tub was very clean and well kept. The hotel was quiet and in a great location. Check in and out was quick and easy.
