What Guests Say About Their Stay

We had a lovely, large room - very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The coffee machine was open 24/7 and the continental breakfast was very well done. The price was great for the hotel as well as the breakfast. The staff was the best I have ever encountered over my years of staying at different hotels. The reception staff was friendly, helpful, professional and attentive to your needs. The staff that kept the breakfast replenished and the area tidy were very friendly and efficient. It would be my first choice to stay at the Hotel Chateau Bellevue again when I return to Quebec City.

The staff was very friendly, and although we don't speak French, everyone who worked the front desk did. If you want a room with a great view, book one of the ones that faces the park/water. We had a corner room, which looked bigger than the other rooms we saw! Free coffee, tea, juice, water is always available. When you arrive, pull up to the front where there is temporary parking while you check in. Since all parking around there requires a $20 fee, we paid just $5 more a night to have valet parking, with access to our car (right on the hotel property behind it!). Just let the front desk personnel know what time you need it the next day, and they will have it ready! It was a great experience; we stayed here once before a handful of years ago. The only surprising thing was that the continental breakfast had a small fee; I believe it was free last time we came, but I can't be sure. We would gladly stay there again. Merci!

The location, the room and the staff are all excellent. The location couldn't be better; across from the Chateau Frontenac, the Funicular and within a short walking distance ot the Christmas Markets and other shops. Plenty of very good resturants also within walking distance. The Funicular takes you to Lower Quebec City and right onto Petite Champlain, the oldest street in Old Quebec City. Highly recommend this hotel!!

The hotel felt safe and was maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made check in and check out easy. The location was a highlight, and having valet parking added a lot of convenience. While the hotel room itself was average and didn’t stand out, it was comfortable enough for a short stay.

Staff was great however they did not have the room category we had booked (8 weeks ago) The staff provided us with a better room for our last two nights(however still not room we booked, but better than the first room provided) The location and overall stay was good in spite of the room confusion Note: front desk staff did waive our parking fee for the inconvenience.

When we arrived after a long flight they informed us they had a room confirmed for us but did not have a room. We booked through Expedia and had a confirmation as well paid for in advance. They offered to move us to their other hotel via taxi that they would pay for, but it was a kilometre further away and we specifically chose this location because we wanted to be close to everything we wanted to see and have the flexibility of coming back to the room because it was cold out. We were tired and it took some time trying to figure everything out, and we felt that they were forcing us to move to the other hotel. After we insisted, they said it was fine for us to stay. This did not make us feel welcome, but the hotel over all was fine and the location was good. It was a little bit of a bump to the start of our vacation, which was disappointing.

The pictures online do not do it justice. You feel the warmth the minute you walk in the door. The staff were all kind and welcoming and explained everything with ease, switching to English when it was clear our French is not great. The room was spotless and we had everything we needed. Our room had glass cups and wine glasses and a corkscrew, which was a nice touch we don’t usually see in standard rooms. They also offer reasonably priced valet parking onsite with in and out service, though we didn’t need our car while we were there. You are literally a 5-10 min walk from everything. They also offer a continental style breakfast that’s priced well you can add each day, but have coffee, water, and juice available all the time complimentary. We were very pleased with our stay and will be back.

The hotel is so charming, the location is amazing, the lounge with wine vending machine was lovely and relaxing, the breakfast was fantastic (particularly appreciated the GF options!) and the staff were friendly. Only concern was the small size of the room; we had two big dogs with us (we hadn’t known we were limited to one) and it was very tight quarters!
