Motel 6 Surrey, BC

Room was okay, could use a little TLC. We had a kitchenette and I must say the items you would normally have in one of those were few and far between. A small table with a couple of chairs would also have been nice so we didn't have to eat at the counter while standing or while sitting on the bed. Website had said there was coffee in the lobby in the mornings, that wasn't there either. Staff were friendly and we typically stay at Motel 6 because they treat our dogs as family which we really like.

The toilet didn’t flush with the handle, the beds are worn out, the ice machine was broken, front door locked in the morning had to use the rear door, no staff around in the morning. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Unsafe and rude staff

Pet area was good it was pretty pet friendly, staff was nice, the room wasnt super clean more so the bathroom and at check out we noticed another pet peed in the hall and notified staff. Outside of those things which isnt always in the properties control it was a decent stay for a night.

The engaged tone for the phone in the room beeped quietly all night and the fridge froze my food.

Pet friendly Bathroom rundown

Terrible! I do not normally give bad reviews but this hotel was disgusting. The carpets in the hallway have huge stained areas. When I pulled back the covers on the bed there was actual dirt and a long strand of hair within the bed sheets. I talked to the unfriendly front desk man who was completely unconcerned. He gave us a new room and I asked him to come to the room so he could see what I was talking about. He said he would be there in a few minutes but never did show up. The fan in the bathroom was caked with dirt and dust. It had obviously not been cleaned for years. The hotel is very dated but I can overlook that, it's the dirtiness that was appalling. When you walk out the side door of the hotel there are literally hundreds of cigarette butts. If people smoke there I have no issue with that but again it looked like it hadn't been swept up or cleaned in weeks given the number of butts. The only positive was the gentleman on day shift who was very pleasant and friendly. I did not feel safe at this hotel and would definitely warn people about how dirty it is. The restaurant was closed and apparently has been closed for quite some time. The ice machine was also Out of Order. This hotel is definitely not maintained...or cleaned!

The place is great for an easy and convenient night of sleep. The rooms have a fridge, flat screen, microwave and good air conditioning. Both of us got a good shower and sleep after the long road.

It’s very old and outdated. The microwave wasn’t even big enough to put our 8m’s stuff in. The bathroom had very minimal amenities and only one towel for two people and a baby. Kitchenette with nothing in it. The flowers and plants were nice but not fond of the parking. No blinder sheets behind the curtains. Very limited on tv shows, but the tv and dish are updated. Cleanliness is good but it’s all so old and a lot doesn’t work and nothing in the kitchenette, it feels pointless to have.
