Pelicanstay at Yonge & Sheppard North York

When I arrived I was under the impression that this is a hotel residence inside of Hullmark Centre. This listing is a false advertisement as the units are old dirty units inside of a residential building. I was misled and parked at Hullmark Centre where I paid a lot and when I finally after 30 minutes of walking around found where "PliecanStay" is, the concierge of the residential building was confused. Finally after getting someone on the phone at Pelicanstay, a lady came 30 minutes later to give me the key to the unit. The unit smelled bad and blinds and microwave broken. I unfortunately couldn't change my booking as it was no refunds. A few days later, as I was coming back with groceries I realised the door was unlocked. I entered the unit and the lady who had given me the key was inside my unit with a man who she claimed was a plumber. The man ran away and I asked the lady why she had not notified me that they would be entering the unit. She claimed they had come to change a faucet. They indeed had changed the faucet and left behind a huge mess in the bathtub and plumbing parts in the garbage can. Later I discovered that one of my documents had been moved to another room, and $100 was missing. I don't know how the City allows these companies to rent out units in residential buildings without proper hotel licensing. I contacted Pelicanstay about this incident, they have refused to follow up or even apologise for entering my unit. DO NOT RENT THIS AT ALL!

Good location. An hour and a half to check in. Room is very dated. Flooring loose, bathroom leaking. Internet yes but No cable tv. Over a month to get overpayment returned...run not like anything I’ve stayed at ever before... Would not recommend.

The suite is in a very good location with nice view

Very good security, good parking in a very busy area, very close to the subway system, no real good restaurants other than fast food restaurants within walking distance. The room was not ready by check-in time I had to wait an extra hour until it was cleaned. Also, water was turned off for the entire day on Wednesday which made it very inconvenient shower, use the toilet or general washroom.

The location is excellent, interior setting is cozy, layout is comfortable, price is reasonable. I would rate excellent if I don’t have to wait for 45 min for the key despite notify my arrival ahead of time. The kitchen Teflon pots and pans could be replaced, they are quite worn out with scratched marks, mostly likely quite toxic. The front left stove doesn’t really work.

The address given was not available..The contacts were not accessible. No one leads you or informs abt the basic issues like parking,key deposit and its return etc.

Bed was very uncomfortable.1 roll of toilet paper for two people for four days. Had to buy our own. Check in and pre check in was not good. Was told my reservation was changed to a new building and when we went to the new building we were told we were at the wrong place to go to the original building. Sad thing is ,they are probably a couple thousand buck investment away from being great.

checkin was quick, nice hostess. sending pictures of c.card and d.licence through internet might be unsafe.

Great location and nice unit, convenient and reasonably priced parking

Good location, good space and furnishings, and especially very helpful and friendly staff -- operating remotely rather than on location, but so effective and helpful that contact by phone and text didn't seem distant or problematic in any way, the experience was reassuring and comfortable.

Convenient for North Toronto/Hwy 401 East West; Location is good for the Subway. Accommodation is comfortable

The room was excellent-actually a full 1-bedroom apt. The location was perfect for me, beside the subway, the office I was going to, and various stores, etc. The only problem was that it is listed under an address that does not exist on Yonge St instead of 33 Sheppard, so I wasted hours trying to find it. I was slow in realizing it was not a hotel, but a unit in a condo building. When I was given the room no. I went to a unit already occupied in the wrong tower, as both towers have the same main entrance.

It was all I needed. Well supplied and clean. Comfort and quiet

It was great!!!! The area had everything you would need and more. The condo was clean and had a washer/dryer combo unit which was very very useful having a baby with us and all. As for dealing with Pelican Staff, they were amazing! Always responded promptly. My flight was delayed by 5hrs and they made my check in as swiftly as possible! I would stay again and would recommend to a friend!
