Nice room with kitchenette with large fridge, cook top and basic cooking needs. Staff were friendly. Location is outside downtown, but if you are looking to save money on accommodations, this hotel is worth the drive and a great option.

King suite 4th floor - Check in was pleasant the room was large and the lay out unconventional with the bathroom off of the kitchen and as far away from the bedroom as it could be . The kitchen was fine with a full complement of dishes and small appliances apartment size fridge was ok NOW THE BAD . I could see they have issues with small insects as ant traps where in a couple of spots and noise from the adjoining rooms (Thin walls ) Although it was up dated it had issues , ceiling stains and worn flooring the ac unit was noisy as well as street traffic and outdoor lights bled through the curtains the bed was the worst part of the stay , it was hard as a rock. 2 nights of no sleep and waking up to sore back. I think the cushions off the couch on the floor would have been choice . For a business that it’s meant to provide a restful sleep they failed miserably ! would we stay again ? Well there is a lot of competition in Victoria and I would have to say no . A good night sleep is paramount and the Red Lion Victoria could not provide this to us

The Red Lion is a consistent, clean, and affordable stay, but don’t expect luxury. A nice treat was the V-Lounge bar with lots of pool tables and cheap drinks. The Jade Fountain offers tasty and authentic Chinese food. The “balcony” of our upgraded room was subterranean and had unsightly exposed ductwork, loose pipes lying around, and a random barrel of sand lol.
