The property was very easy to get to, and is directly across the street from Science North, a 10 minute drive to the Big Nickle and walking distance to Bell Park and close to a great walking route around the lake. There are not any restaurants within close walking distance, but there are a lot of options a few minutes away by car. The rooms were clean and the hotel was quiet (even though it was packed with families dropping their kids off at the schools.) I'd recommend staying here if you want a reasonably priced, clean room that's close to some of the sites around the city.

The complimentary breakfast was very good. ham rounds and omlette rounds and a english muffin were great. Similar to an egg mcmuffin. Fresh bran muffins. Raspberry yogurt was good. Only downfall is no elevator which by law is not required in a two story building. However it is inconvenient for some people to be struggling to move suitcases up and down the two storey steps.

There were some people that would hang out of the front entrance that would stare at us as we came and went, made us feel alittle uncomfortable. Im sure they were harmless but still gave us an unwelcome feeling

I stayed here previously a number of years ago. It was quite good about 10 years ago. However now it is in need of a serious renewal. The hallways and rooms smell like an old musty basement . Breakfast looks low budget. Staff is indifferent. Sad to see what was a nice hotel being neglected by ownership.
