The host was right st the door to greet us. She was super friendly and made us feel right at home. I need a gluten free diet and she was more then willing snd capable to adjust our breakfast for me. It is a quick drive to Clifton Hill amd there is a Tim Hortons close by as a bonus. We will definitely be reccommendimg our friends and family to stay here and will be going back ourselves!

We were warmly greeted upon arrival by Mary, and she made sure everything was satisfactory. She is possibly the most attentive host you will find, at any price. Accommodation was as described, although just a little cold for the first couple of nights. Mary promptly provided us with a space heater. Breakfast is basic but adequate, and Mary was always there to ensure if we needed anything. She even did a small batch of laundry for me - so greatly appreciated! The location is great. It felt perfectly safe walking late at night and is a short walk to Queen St. to the North, and just a little bit further to Clifton, by the Falls. . As for the area, save yourself a lot of money when dining out by going to one of the restaurants on Queen St! This is where the locals eat, and is MUCH less expensive than the Clifton Hill tourist area. BEWARE, of the WEGO bus package! They did not make it clear to us that the Orange line, for whatever mysterious reason, is a paid extra. We had planned to visit Niagara on the Lake on our last day when the driver demanded an additional (extortionate) $50 ($25 each) for the short journey. This totally ruined the last day of our trip. Also be wary of the Niagara Brewing Company and their advertised $3.99 'Specials'. Once induced to go in, you discover it's only for 1/2 pint of cheap brown ale. Anything more than that, you'll pay Top Dollar! Again, steer away from the Clifton Hill area and head to the Grand Central sports bar on Queen St. for dining out.
