Great view of the beach and sunsets. Staff were very helpful, we left early in the morning, before breakfast, and they arranged our taxi and a packed breakfast for us. Have already booked to stay again!

The room was nice, the bathroom was great, and the bed was decently comfortable. However, we were on the same floor as the restaurant and it was quite loud in the mornings. There was also a restaurant down the street that played very loud music at 1am one of the nights and the windows did not filter the sound very well.

At one time this was a premier place to stay in Iquique. It is now an older hotel showing some of its age but still a good place to stay because it is in a prime location a block from Playa Cavancha. We stayed 4 nights. Easy walk to Plaza Prat. All rooms have ocean view. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms.and okay bathroom. Safe, refrgerator, hot water kettle, and A/C in room. Typical breakfast. No on site restaurant but six great ones less than ablock away. Limited parking underneath hotel. Wifi was erratic with poor connection speeds. Staff friendly and helpful most with limited English.

The hotel lacks maintenance and its quality as a result has diminished considerably compared to few years ago. Reception's people is nice but insufficient. The breakfast restaurant was not at all clean and the food menu was very poor.

Pictures of hotel look great, but I nside the furniture is run-down, there are stains on the walls, and the air conditioning did not work. Ended up cutting the reservation short (even though I had pre-paid and couldn’t get a refund) and went to another hotel.

The room was very hot during the sunset, which made air conditioning necessary. It didn't work at all. The bathroom had these constant sounds of leaks coming from other rooms. My son wanted to use the pool on a Thursday (Monday is the official day they clean the waters) but all we got was a "oh..... using the pool? that can't be done".
Other than that, the breakfast was ok, the clean towells were indeed clean, but I am very disappointed. Also, the wifi was sluggishly slow and I needed it as I work in IT. So I will be glad never to return to this hotel.

spark hotel is nothing like it used to be...I remember it as one of the best hotels in Iquique,,, we booked this hotel because the price was pretty decent and we loved it in the past... the hotel has aged badly to start and needs a renovacion, nothing major but little details to make it a top hotel again... housekeeping was not good... knocked on the door and said She could clean the room now or just the next day cause she was going to another floor.... I told her to give me 10 minutes, I left and came back 5 hours later and nothing... the shampoos are only half full, so it feels like they are leftovers... kind of gross in my opinion... the windows are dirty and the breakfast was just ok...

I've been at this hotel 2 years ago and the place was much better. This time you can tell there's lack of maintenance ...for instance the bathroom doesn't have a tray to put the shampoo/soap/etc (you have to put it on the floor), the windows needs cleaning. The pool looks filthy (green water). They don't have a restaurant (last time they had a Japanese restaurant). The only thing that I could say on their favor is they're located near Cavancha beach.

I had my employee staying at the hotel and called to let them know my employee would be checking in a couple days late and to not cancel his prepaid room. When my employee arrived the hotel had canceled his reservation and did not have room for him anymore. My employee then had to pay for another night even though he had 5 prepaid nights. I have had my workers stay at this hotel on average 50 nights a year for the past 3 years and now I will never book another night with this hotel and I will make sure that it is taken off the list when I book for all of my contractors as well. Horrible service and not worth any amount of money. Don't make the same mistake that I made. Go to a hotel that appreciates their guests and honors their paid reservations.

Hotel is perfectly located right across the street from the beach and walking distance from the center of town.
Felt safe in the neighborhood. Iquique lacks five star hotels on the beach strip and Spark hotel is probably the best you will find so close to the beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wi-fi was a bit spotty (typical in Chile) and the breakfast was basic. (Note: other hotels we looked at in Iquique Holiday Inn Express - had major construction going right in front onto the beach, and Radisson, very far from center of town)
