The first thing you need to know is they have NO AIR CONDITIONING, which in this recent heatwave was NOT cool (pun intended! 😉) Although the outside of the building is unimpressive, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and look as if they've recently been remodeled. Breakfast was good.

There is a big locked gate where you enter if driving..and no person watching for arriving guests. I had to stop a stranger on the street to borrow their phone to call hotel to open the gate since my cell wasn't charged after the long drive to get there. Staff are polite. There is no a/c and my room was on a busy street. The location is walking distance to many stores and restaurants. The hallways are dark..and since they use keys, not key cards, it was really hard to get the key properly in the hole in almost complete darkness. There is no small fridge to keep a few drinks cold. Water pressure is good for the shower and the water was hot. It is just a very basic room. When I checked out the rates were posted..one rate was for "day use".I can only think of one reason a person stays in a hotel, during the day, for just a few hours.

It would be better if there was a dead bolt or lock on the door on the inside of the room for piece of mind. Great hotel, helpful and professional staff. Rooms comfy and clean, with bathtub and good shower. Best breakfast we've had in months of travelling - hot scrambled eggs, cold meats and cheese, fresh breads, fresh fruit, decent coffee (unlike the dreadful, primarily sweet, breakfasts we've experienced in the rest of South America). Excellent location - short walk to centre, but far enough away to maintain quiet. A really good experience.
