What Guests Say About Their Stay

Since my phone wasn’t compatible with WeChat or Alipay, I faced some challenges during my stay in China. Thankfully, the staff were incredibly helpful. Ella went out of her way to assist me—she walked with me to the food pickup spot, used her own phone, and helped retrieve a delivery ordered by my daughter, who was staying at Tsinghua University. On another occasion, when my daughter’s WeChat account ran out of funds, Harry Sun helped us withdraw cash from the hotel ATM and reload the account. He also arranged our trip to the Great Wall of China, booking a car and giving us great tips—like leaving early to avoid traffic and returning by early afternoon. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

Great hotel with lovely staff. Good breakfast with mix of Chinese and ‘western’ options. Pool is small but adequate. Gym facilities are good. There’s a Tube station about 10 mins walk from the hotel (near the Weston). But we just caught a cab via the DiDi App to all the sites. Way more comfortable. Concierge organised a Day return taxi to Badaling Great Wall for the 4 of us which worked out way cheaper than any of the ‘tours’ online. Word of advice is to plan your trips around the rush hour traffic in Beijing. There’s a small shopping mall about a 10 mins walk away. Has a variety of food stalls and a McDs. Overall, would very likely stay here again.

I had a really lovely stay. The check-in process was smooth, housekeeping excellent, breakfast service great, although the chefs at the egg station were always unpleasant. Others on breakfast service were very warm and friendly. Check-out was also smoooth and the agents pleasant.

Stayed for a week with my family in June 2025 (35 celcius outdoor temperature), was slightly concern based on other review that I've read, but was really glad the stay turn out really well. All in all, no issue with the room itself - all was good. Breakfast, the quality is great, but it does get boring after a few days - the menu pretty much doesn't change except maybe a few extra items on weekend. Location wise, may not be the best place for tourist, but peaceful & quiet despite beside the ever busy 3rd ring room, it was quite ok!

Common areas in hotel are nice. Rooms are another story. They are in bad condition needing a re-model asap. Torn carpet, broken tile floors in bathroom that can cause a cut, water stains on ceiling, very dark lighting to hide condition, and an apparent bug problem. Upon check in I was notified I needed to be out of my room from 1-5pm so they could treat for bugs? What? They need to plan this so they treat rooms that are not occupied. Not only unsafe for guests to be around chemicals, but asking me to leave a room I paid for when I want to rest during a long business trip is not acceptable. Then, to top off a bad experience , went to use the elevator to go down stairs and check out on last day and elevator floor was covered in vomit. Cannot make up a worse experience. I travel extensively internationally for business and never had a more negative experience at a hotel. Management and Hyatt need to get their act together. Would never recommend anyone stay here. There are many options in Beijing close to this property. Highly, highly recommend going anywhere but here.

This hotel has a major problem with a strong sewage smell in the hallways and inside the rooms. The smell is so bad that I couldn’t sleep at night. It is very unpleasant and disturbing. Also, the rooms and facilities are very old; it seems like they haven’t been renovated for years. One big issue was in the bathroom—the shower cabin door didn’t close properly, causing a lot of water to leak outside the cabin. As a result, after every shower, a large amount of water collected on the bathroom floor, and I had to spend time drying it. Another problem is that most of the hotel staff don’t speak English, not even a few basic words. Communicating with them or asking simple questions was very difficult. However, the biggest issue remains the sewage smell, which is truly unbearable. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, and I deeply regret staying here. The two nights we spent in this hotel were one of the worst travel experiences during our trip to China.

Hotel accommodation quite good but no thick mugs for making coffee provided. The room atmosphere is a bit old fashioned. I was given room at lower level, where the sound of them moving things at night in the event hall/seminar room can be heard loud and clear. The channel also lacks options for non-chinese speakers.
