Odd smell in whole room. They brought a fan and ask me to open window to cool my room, as no air condition in spring. It was 27.5 C in the room. Can't believe it! Never stay again!

Excellent service with good international breakfast options (and there weren't alot of food options nearby) and amazing riverside view from a high floor.

Great ambience in the hotel. Generally clean. Expect good service and friendly staffs. Very good concierge finding and advising directions to places you want to go. Taxis are affordable arranged by concierge.

The hotel is very well presented and has great facilities and rooms. The most unfortunate thing was that the level of English was not very good. If things are written in English there is an expectation that it is understood. It took me 4 attempts and an actual physical visit to point to exactly what i wanted off the in-room menu before I ordered and then it was wrong when it turned up. There was a central number (button) you had to push to put you through to the operator who could then put you through, to somebody to help you. Turns out they were having their dinner when I was trying to order mine........ Then when i looked to put some laundry in the hotel booklet and the laundry slip both stated EXPRESS LAUNDRY picked up before 6pm would be returned in 4 hours. After the dinner problem i thought i might check if my clothes would be returning before i checked out the next day and they said sometime before 7pm....... Not what it says on the slip or the instruction booklet. Trying to then explain this to somebody with poor English was again VERY FRUSTRATING. I think they need to train staff on the menu and facilities so they know their hotel inside and out.

Overall is great.

A very comfortable hotel right to the river. Great for an evening walk or a bicycle ride along the river which is quite scenic. Very convenient to move around as hotel is within short distance to shopping malls and restaurants. Room is very clean and fully equipped

This is extremely a value for money hotel. It's beyond 4 stars standard but paying 4 stars hotel price. Located beside the river with good surrounding especially places of interests in Tianjin

Great overall experience. First room had a slight problem with a wire outlet. I was immediately given a better room and given fruit and desert plates, without asking. Very comfortable. Location is good. Close to the Big Eye Ferris wheel. Subway station was about a 15 minute walk. Good shopping area about the same. Close to the Ancient Cultural Street attraction. The best part of the stay for me was getting help from Daniel at the concierge desk. He offered assistance anytime I went somewhere. Wrote notes for me in Chinese to make sure I got where I needed to go and got what I needed to get. Daniel was awesome and if I do I return to TIanjin. I will again stay at the Pan Pacific because of him.

Beautiful hotel with excellent dining/buffet. Food maybe a little expensive but we enjoyed the quality. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Newer TJ hotel 10 minutes from west railways station and 45 minutes from south railway station. Pros: 1. New and clean. 2. Staffs/service are top notch. Cons: 1. Check-in is a bit slow. The front desk needs to copy your id at another room at the back. 2. Under the bridge, harder to find. 3. Not many restaurants next to the hotel. Need to walk to other side of the river or take a taxi. 4. Breakfast is sub par.

Nice people, good service and facilities, cleaned area. It's closed to center of the city, nearby the river and has a good view from hotel room.

The hotel was comfortable and good value and in a central location to the train station and cultural precinct. Great gymnasium, swimming pool and sauna facilities.

This hotel represents a very modern western style. So don't expect any Chinese identity or such. Also it is close to the river which does allow you to look out of the window. The problem with this hotel is to find it! I usually remember the location of a hotel from the map but this one was displayed in a different area. Not far but due to the misplacement on the map difficult to find. Further even taxi drivers either donät know or try to earn extra money telling that it is far. Actually it is within food walk even from train station.
