Our trip as a family of 4 with teenagers was good! The views from the balconies are amazing. The beach is across the street making it convenient to go. Staff did not have much English, but with a translation app, were very prompt in helping. Large buffet breakfast. A beautiful spot for afternoon tea as well.

Extremely disappointed in the Shengyi Holiday Villa hotel. Despite solid reviews on line, we found that the hotel had virtually no English capability. They did not seem familiar with the hotel.com booking system as we prepaid for a 180 degree suite room, and they tried to give us their standard room (don't think they bothered to check the confirmation number). After much complaining and finally getting someone on the telephone who spoke some English, they "upgraded" us to the room we paid for. Most alarming, however, was their "signature" Chinese restaurant. Just after the food arrived, we saw a rather large rodent run across the restaurant floor! To make matters worse, when we explained to the waitstaff we were leaving and why, they summoned the hotel manager on duty who tried to negotiate payment, and actually offered a 20% discount for our trouble. We declined to pay for the food and gave them some money for the beer we drank and left the restaurant quite upset and hungry. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have much in the way of restaurants in the neighborhood. Strongly suggest travelers to avoid this hotel!
