If you are looking for Luxiary, this is the hotel to stay while most other 5-stars ones are just like a place for home-stay. Try Premium, a room with River View. I'll reserve the same hotel next time when come to Chongqing.

Checked out a few days early , rooms a very run-down and one building is mostly vacant . Lobby and exterior are beautiful , but not much traffic and I think that’s why it’s a bit outdated in rooms … fixtures falling apart and carpets stained , also no English tv options and gate often didn’t lift up when trying to exit parking lot , therefor we had to make multiple calls to front desk sometimes while being honked at . 500 deposit was expected to be paid even though when booking room online , everything was paid for supposedly thru Expedia ! Still waiting for that back after checking out four days early …told absolutely no refund for checking out early due to Expedias policy …. Don’t use Expedia if you have doubts , refunds are next to impossible !

The whole hotel is too dark everywhere with a very unfriendly staff. Many areas are broken without repair and maintenance. It is a shame to be awarded a 5 stars.

Everything is fine except for the aircond. Is not cold at all and I have to shower frequently within a day just to keep cool. And the design is too old fashion. Not suitable for those who prefer a more modern room or hotel.

The room was a very nice corner room but with no air conditioning it was too warm. The window opened a crack, which helped, but not enough. I was told the air conditioning is not activated until May.

My stay was pleasant. But, if you do not know chinese or need anything like toiletries, i.e. need a store for personal things you are out of luck here. There is no one over 25 years WHO works there for some reason. The chinese restaurant is excellent. The views are wonderful. Chongqing is a very unique experience. Bring light clothes in summer - very hot

There is no way to adjust the temperature of the room and by keeping the window and door open did not help to lower the room temperature down at all. The room was so unbearably warm and stuffy that I have to work along the corridor because it is cooler. I contacted the reception 3 times and for 3 times, I was asked to change my room. With no better option, I have no choice but to endure the torturing condition of the room. My 3 nights stay at this hotel was a nightmare; the experience was totally uncomfortable and suffering. A 5-star hotel like Sheraton cannot simply assume that all the guests' temperature preference for the room are the same and conveniently set a standard temperature for all the rooms and stop the air-conditioning from working.
