The hotel is in my opinion the best in the area. As for the staff, cleanliness and location. Let alone how safe it was and no one bother you. The friendliness of the staff actually rubs off on the guest and even the guest are friendly.

The hotel is in my opinion the best in the area. As for the staff, cleanliness and location. Let alone how safe it was and no one bother you. The friendliness of the staff actually rubs off on the guest and even the guest are friendly.

On the first night when we checked in we told reception the TV couldn’t connect to our mobile device as they requested us to do because the TV didn’t have any apps. He couldn’t connect it and say he would ask for someone to fix it the following day, that day never came.
The hotel had a weird smell. Specially the third floor, it was a mixture of old, dust and humid. The room was not the cleanest, actually it was pretty dirty as well and it also had a funky smell.
The only good thing surrounding the hotel is the San Felipe Castle everything else was super sketchy and actually dangerous. We were literally perused by man on our way to the store that was a 4 min walk from the hotel.
On our way out, we were being charged for drinks we never consumed. Although the lady did end up dropping those charges from our check.
We asked for room service the first night, the nachos were old and drenched in oil, over all the food and drinks were pretty mediocre.
It was a really bad experience overall.

Pro:
- Room: spacious, working air conditioning, in-room safe box.
- The view: was nice as we could see san Felipe castle from our room.
- Breakfast: was semi-buffet, you had to order eggs to be prepared. Not too many options, it was overall alright.
- They offer luggage storage free of charge.
- Staff: friendly and professional
Cons:
- Location: is in a very, very shady area of the city, specially if you are walking around. The neighborhood is not ideal for tourists. I would say better to stay in centro or bocagrande neighborhoods. We were okay as we only went out during the day.
- Far from attractions: It was a 20 minute walk to most attractions, in 30 degree heat of Cartagena, it becomes quite a walk!
- Room: we found a dog tick on the bed which we reported, they did not do anything about it, nor any compensation, just thanked us for informing them. Lol. Although we were not bitten, but it left us scared each night in fear of seeing more. In retrospect, they should have offered to change our room.
- it was the most expensive hotel we stayed in all of Colombia, partly because Cartagena tends to be more pricy destination.
Overall an okay stay, but I dont recommend it for tourists.

Only stayed here for a night but it was exactly what we needed. Room was clean and the view was beautiful, staff was super friendly and helpful. I do wish breakfast was a bit more than what it was but it wasn’t bad, just very regular.
