Hotel Calypso Beach

The room was nothing lile what we booked on the site. We booked a room with two queen beds, recieved a room with a single doble bed. The room is fine for one night, but not for an extended stay.

Was an actual beach front hotel.

Horrible property no service no wifi

We did not like the room because the bed was very old and noisy, Water from the shower leak on the floor, the air conditioning stop during the night, at breakfast the preparation of the omelets was very slow because they were not set up inefficient, the food was very limited.

In general we had a good stay. Locatios is good. Bed was very comfortable, however, the duvet did not have a cover. This is not hygienic at all. Also, only one towel per person is available. This means that you have to dry your whole body, from face to feet with a single towel. They were changed daily. We found very helpful that we were able to leave our suitcases at the hotel after checkout. Also, one towel x the swimming pool is provided which is great. The swimming pool and its whole area is not clean. Breakfast is buffet but not to our taste. I think that they should reduce the amount of bread and introduce croissant, proper coffee made from espresso machine, proper bread. The air conditioner in the room was working but the temperature could not be regulated. Settings did not work and it was either too cold with the air on or too hot with no air. There was a hair dryer in the toilet which was good and a small fridge and tv in the room. Wifi available in the room even if automatic connection is not. Curtains were heavy and allowed a nice sleep in the morning. Plenty of hangers in the closet.

Location of property was excellent. Check-in was horrible it took and hour before we received a key to the room.

I like the fact that was ocean view. I don’t like the noise and lock of noise insulation in windows. The staff wasn’t accommodating at all. The pool area was poor

No hot water in shower, internet very slow. New building being built next to hotel, lots of construction noises, terrible view. Feeling like being in a prison. Cheap furniture. Very musky order inside the room

Hotel is right near the beach which is a plus.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. Otherwise, for the price you are paying, it’s too expensive for what it is.

The location itself is worth the price. However, if you dont like noise and people drinking until late avoid this spot. The pool is small and not all that. Food was average at best. Some staff members are really cool, others not as much. I do t like that their doors seem flimsy and unsecure and the safe box is really small. In summary if your there for partying, drinking, the beach and dont need anything special, this is the place to go. If you want quality in your stay and less crowds, avoid this spot.

Perfect hotel location. Breakfast buffet from 7am to 10am. Bar has happy hour. I enjoyed myself in this hotel.

Pros - View from the room is amazing - Clean - Nice breakfast Cons - Service at the breakfast needs to be improved. It takes sometimes more than 30 minutes just to get your order - The hotel advertised that there is a nice pool but there is no pool due to the effects caused by Hurricane Iota. It was not communicated during booking but hotels.com tried its best to accommodate me better.

Excellent room service and the Breakfast was always fresh and good.

The location of the hotel is very good as well as their breakfast. The bad thing is they do not attend the complains such as I had problems with the air conditioning and TV of the room and it took them 3 days to finally send someone, and they did it because I had to stand in front of them until they do so. In other room the phone didn't work and they never care to send someone to help, even though we spoke with the person they have to attend complains. The installations are a little old, specially in bathrooms. Also very important is they never mentioned that the rooms didn't have hot water and only you get it if you get a special room.

Internet it’s kind of slow..towel service not enough Breakfast it’s really good and it’s located in a great area. I would come back again to this place.

Close to the beach view close to the shopping area and the airport

When arrived aour room no hot water and the condition no good smell and the shipper room

No hot water in the hotel room. Asked the front desk to change rooms but they said I did not book a room with hot water. Then after brief argument saying we booked a room with hot water staff said they will call back. After 1 hour staff did not respond, went to front desk again and front desk said we should have notified them about the hot water situation when we check in and that we have to wait maybe until next day. Then we got frustrated and raised our voice at the staff and then they finally agreed to change our room. Poor customer service. Roof deck pool okay but seating area is under renovation and looks nothing like the photos
