Great stay and communication. Strong air conditioning which is a plus in the summer. 105 steps up the alley to reach the apartment so not for those with large suitcases or mobility considerations, but worked for us! Very close to everything thank you again!

The apartment was immaculate and very centrally located. Although Dubrovnik is very touristy, Rose’s place was quiet and out of the way while being a couple minute walk to anything you wanted to see in Old Town. Rose herself was a great hostess, very accommodating and helpful. Would stay here 10 times out if 10 if we were to revisit Dubrovnik.

In the old town, older but outfitted place with kitchen. A little noisy at night with apt upstairs and busy streets outside but you’re in the action. It is up 5 very steep sets of stairs with no other ways to access the apt so be mindful of that when booking. Very responsive and great communication.

Room is very convenient to all the prime locations. But there are 170 steps to reach the room so not very convenient with luggage . The kitchen light was not working n one of the burner was not working since there were 2 in total it was only one that worked. There was only one pot n one pan for cooking. The bathroom had a strange odor. The sofa bed had a torn sheet. Stating these things since it was considered a 4 star.

Pros: - Good location IF you’re okay with lots of steps (138 in total; this was clearly noted in the listing) - Washing machine. - Good size, not cramped. - Good airflow through apt; was able to dry clothes very quickly. - Quiet at night. We were there on a Sat, Sun and Mon night. - Good internet connection, though a very weak password. Cons, some of which are minor: - Difficulty contacting the owner on arrival. Ended up waiting at the door for 20-30 minutes. - Awkward kitchen layout: sloped, low ceiling at the side and an exhaust hood that sticks out at head level right beside the sink. - Shower water temperature is very finicky; alternates between very hot and very cold. - 2 single beds rather than a double or queen. (I might have just missed that in the posting.) - Beds are not particularly comfortable. - No coffee maker, though instant coffee was provided and wasn’t too bad for instant coffee. - The apt was very dusty on arrival, and microwave tray was dirty. - Very rough bath towels. - Noisy early in the morning; some type of bird? We’d stay again if the price was good.

Great apartment with wonderful host. Rose was very helpful and checked on us during our stay to make sure all was well. The apartment was close to everything in the walled part of the city. There were four of us, so we needed to use the sofa bed. It was not as comfortable as we would have liked. Overall though, a nice apartment.

This is an excellent location! We were right in the heart of Old Town and able to go to get coffee, meals, all the tourist attractions, and be a part of the action. It was quiet for sleeping. We had our 7 month old baby with us and there was a baby cot provided. Rose and her husband were accommodating, communicative, and so friendly! We also recommend eating at their restaurant if you get a chance. We'll echo other reviews that there are a LOT of stairs to go up and down to get in and out. We are a fit couple and had no issues, but it is a workout if you're not in shape :) We highly recommend!

Stay away from this property. It is 115 stairs up to get to it. I had it booked for 2 separate dates. I hurt my knee dragging my luggage on the stairs on my first stay and am physically unable to haul 60 lbs of luggage to this apartment again. They will not refund my money. They were unresponsive to questions. Obviously only care about the money.

There is a bed in the same room as the kitchen which was perfect for our 2 teenagers. Another bed for Mom & Dad in a separate room so perfect for a family of 4. The big kitchen and dining table was great. Air conditioning was nice and cool. The full size fridge was terrific. The tile/stone floors felt cool and clean. Please leave written instructions for the stove top. It was wonderful having a washer but difficult to dry clothes. Also if you are a light sleeper, you can hear the other tourists from the above floor like slamming of the doors, talking. But I’d recommend it for the great location in Old Town and the nice, open interior kitchen.

Well, where can I start? We arrived at the Apartment after climbing over 140 stone steps, it is one hell of a climb, so BE PREPARED. Rose (the owner) is a very lovely lady, who will come and meet you at the apartment, show you around and give great advice, about where to eat and visit etc. Also Rose suggested that we should turn left at the top of the steps and walk that way down and up to the apartment as it is a gentler route. ( I cannot express enough staying here is absolutely wonderful, But Old Dubrovnik is built in a valley and Old Dominia is situated at the top) It is a wonderful place to stay close to the two Buza Bars, which are a must at sundown. And everything that you want to visit is within easy access. We found many Jems whilst on our visit, and used our Dubrovnik 7 day card to its fullest advantage. We visited everywhere on the map. Pull it out everywhere you go, if it's not free usually you get a percentage off, including meals. Talking about food, I would recommend Mea Culpa, Bonifide and Cele for great, good value and delicious food, beers and of course service. There are so many things to do and see.I would really recommend the Archaeological Museum, 30 kuna each for entry and there was no one else there, and believe it or not there was a walk along the walls, which opens out to the Pile Gate. We had a fantastic three hours exploring the exhibition. Thank you Rose, Old Dubrovnik for a memorable holiday.
