B&B Downtown Zagreb

I chose the property for it's location & easy access to the neighborhood. Self Check-in & out was easy. The property staff was easily accessible over the phone.

Our room and bathroom were spotless. Our room is right next yo the elevator. We can hear it when it runs. The kitchen is a four-room shared kitchen. No microwave. Two burners but no cooking utensils. Lots of plates, cups, cutlery.

We had a great stay here for 3 nights. In the centre of the city but not too noisy. Good breakfast

Nice location fairly close to the main parts of Zagreb old town. Room was clean and well-kept. Key pickup from the lockbox was easy. Was a little confusing at first then where to use the key. The entrance is on the second floor but opens into a small common area first before you see your actual room numbers

This was the most stylish room I’ve stayed in, in this price range. Great location. Clean. Good amenities—kettle, clothes iron. The self-check-in procedure was an ordeal—I’d sum it up to inadequate communication. The host was pleasant and helpful though when I got him. If you arrive at night, expect the building hallways to be dark and find most of the rooms behind a door that is not clearly marked to indicate that it is the entrance to the suites. If you’re smarter than me then there’s lots to recommend this place.

Good walking distance to upper and lower town attractions, very quiet relative to the busy city surroundings. Irena was a responsive and helpful host.

Nothing bad to say about it. Quick easy checkin/checkout. Great service via mobile phone. Highly recommend

15 mins walk from town. Shops next door. Room comfortable but getting into the place was a major drama. Thank god someone let me into the building to be able read plaque with website details to get WhatsApp number to call…. as no way to get in touch using hotels.com….i didn’t receive email with checkin details but the man gave me code to lock box at the front entry door to get my room key…. Thank god he answered the phone… I really Don’t like this system at all… hotels only from now on.

Well situated

The room was basic and was larger than a hotel room. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good size. I could use the common room and had access to kettle as well as dishes. The room had a stool for a place to sit and the bed - ideally a separate comfy chair would have been nice. I was confused about check in and wished that the company had WhatsApp the contact information to me via me having to look up the WhatsApp number on their website (not on confirmation).

Comfortable room and conveniently situated. As we arrived after hours, keys obtained from key safe by outside door. Good communication from host. Recommended.

There is no reception so you will need to WhatsApp them to access the keys in the safe. There is no breakfast, only from June. The room was clean and modern, and in a good location for walking everywhere in the city.

Very nice place in every way, except the name B&B is misleading - there is a common kitchen area for all guests but there is no microwave and the stovetop range doesn't work - so no way to heat food. The electric hot water is fine. There is an excellent SPAR convenience store next door.

It was not CLEAR display orninformation about the dates that they do NOT serve breakfast. Being an and promoting themselves as a B$B, breakfast even when small, should be served!

Very nice, easy to walk to center, shopping, restaurants, and sights.

The room is excellent, very clean, well decorated and comfortable. The bathroom was great. In the room, it would have been helpful to have an extra chair and travel-friendly outlet. The part that is confusing is that this is advertised as a B&B, which anybody would interpret as a “Bed&Breakfast”. However, there is no breakfast served and the information on Expedia is not very clear on this. Even while there, there is a sign in the kitchen that indicates breakfast between 8am and 9:30am, but then in smaller letters you are warned that the kitchen is not for use by the guests, all very confusing….

This is a very small hotel with few rooms in the "Lower Town". First, let me say this was probably not the best choice for us, since it was our first visit to Zagreb. The hotel does not have an on-site host, rather, the keys are left in a lockbox for you. Although the host answered many questions by Expedia messaging and ultimately by phone, it would have been more helpful to have an on-site host. We had to reach out to this hotel for check-in instructions, whereas all other Croatia hotels contacted us many days in advance with check-in instructions, guidance on parking, etc. We had to text her our passport information, which also wasn’t great. Although friendly, the host's instructions were vague, resulting in additional calls even after we retrieved keys from the exterior lockbox. Enter the exterior door, walk up one flight of stairs, use your keys to open another common area door by the "B&B Downtown" sign, then you find your room # and unlock it with another key. The room itself was simple and clean. The bathroom newly updated, but linens and pillows especially needed replacement. There was a breakfast on-site for those who had made arrangements in advance. The young lady managing the breakfast set-up was very kind, and graciously allowed us to add breakfast the same day, even though it caused her a quick return to the downstairs market to make sure that everyone had enough food. She couldn't have been more kind. Driving and parking in Zagreb is problematic.
