Lanterna Resort

The location was good, the accommodation was sub standard- old, dirty, full of mould and in desperate need of a total renovation. The bathroom leaked so badly water was running into the bedroom. The TV didn’t work, the rusty fridge leaked and hadn’t been cleaned inside or out. The only real positive was the restaurant we visited. Benjamin offered a high standard of service and the food was very good. We would never go back and definitely not recommend staying there - it’s a health trap!

Property in terrible condition. Falling apart. Pictures on Expedia do not reflect the actual condition of the condos. No internet in the room. TV was miniature, 30 years old. I was at this property 1980s an no improvements have been made since then. Beach and swimming is nice, employees are nice and cordial but that is about it...

Great price, right by the water. Tons of things to do on the resort. Again, price was pretty much unbeatable for what we got. Room was a little aged but clean. Enjoyed the stay.

What a wonderful stay! It has been 20 years since me and my family's last holiday in Lanterna and we were happy to find out the place is still as beautiful, quiet and safe as we remember. Holidays were fantastic and we made the most of it when relaxing and recharging, what was our trip's main purpose. However, we were utterly disappointed to discover that condition of the apartments was very poor and far from the pictures advertised. Sadly, instead of receiving proper maintenance / upgrade over the years, the apartments were left to its own demise. Paint peeling of the wall and windows, windows and doors not shutting properly, dated bathroom and furniture.. So much money collected from visitors over the years, yet zero investment to the property maintenance - heartbreaking. Cleanliness could also be improved, finding a layer of dust on the bed frames or on the kitchen counter was not pleasant. We got over this surprise and enjoyed our stay regardless but I feel it's important to list the urgent need of renovation, so the overall experience is improved, as it is indeed long overdue.

The stay was pretty good. The room was clean (a bit outdated though) and spacious. It can get loud to about 24:00 every evening but after that it was usually nice and quiet. I recommend the restaurant "Delfin" which is located in the area. But the other restaurant there was a total disaster... The beaches where very nice and clean but the staff was very unprofessional except one guy at the reception which really tried hard. We where lucky that it wasn't too warm or else it would be bad to sleep since there is no aircondition. There is also no WIFI (only in reception and by the bad restaurant at the beach) We knew that there is no WIFI but when you arrive there you really wished you did had it.

Wireless is extremely slow. Apartment and facilities were very clean, I highly recommend this place for holidays.

We spent three days at the location and we had a plesent time, the apartment we recieved was a minute walk from the beach and had a kids park right outside. Transportation to the closet town and recreation areas can be arrange at the front desk and there are several activities to keep everyone entertained around the resort. Restaurants and gift shops are located on the resort to include a small grocery shop if you plan on preparing a meal or two. Overall, we had a pleasant time and would stay at this location again.

Our unit was recently refurbished, coast was wonderful. Lots of people everywhere, and that is what the place exists for. So if you do not mind people it is worth the stay.

Nice break, not the flashiest but we were there for,the sun and sea so not a problem.

We spent a week here and had a great time! I was pleasantly surprised with the whole resort. No matter if you wanted to just relax and sunbathe, do some sports, go out with your family, have fun with your dogs (dog-friendly resort!) or have a tasty meal- there was something for everyone. You can also buy everything you need- there´s a supermarket, 2 bakeries, exchange office, souvenir shop, even a doctor on site. The equipment of the little kitchinette in our appartment was great too! I definitely recommend!

For the money it is more than good. Nothing special just clasic Istrian appartments, clean, close to the beach nice balcony.

Simple but pleasant apartment, excellent value, great service at the reception. Shops are handy on spot. Beware of prices of the cafe!

Be sure to book a renovated room!

Of course hotel rooms are never going to be what they picture on their website, but they boast that this place was recently renovated and paint was chipping on the walls, the windows didn't work properly and the sofabed was broken. There are different buildings on the campus that seemed very nicely maintained, but that's not where we were placed. This "resort hotel" also caters to a lot of tour groups so when we had to wait in line over 1 hr to check in for less than mediocre rooms was not worth it.
