They have all kinds of entertainment. The food choice is awesome. The staff was cordial and very attentive to our needs.

Our 5 days stay were nice!! The resort was clean and the staff service was excellent. Dining restaurant were 5 stars. But the buffet was awful and the food was not good at all !! I think this is the only thing we didn’t like about this resort!!everything else was good

10/10 would go back. The staff were amazing and accommodating.

A Fantastic Week at Bahia Principe Luxury La Romana We just returned from a truly wonderful stay at Bahia Principe Luxury La Romana and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The overall service was excellent, the facilities were spotless, and the staff went above and beyond to make our week memorable. While the rooms are dated, this in no way took away from the comfort and joy of our stay. What really stood out was the warmth and professionalism of the staff—especially in the restaurants and by the pool. Whether at the general dining areas or the à la carte restaurants, the service was consistently exceptional. A special mention to Radaisy, Bladimir, Jefrey, Bryan, Mavel, and all their amazing colleagues—thank you for making our experience so enjoyable. The food at Le Gourmet and the Italian restaurant was absolutely phenomenal—easily worth a perfect score. We look back on our time here with great fondness and would return without hesitation. Thank you for a delightful and relaxing getaway!

Clean and cozy resort. Friendly staff, 5 star buffet. Everything was excellent at this resort. The beach and water not so much. We enjoyed and would return back.

The hotel is quiet, staff is friendly and welcoming. There are the usual activities to keep guests entertained, and the food/drinks are good.

I am writing to formally express my extreme disappointment regarding my recent stay at the Bahia Principe Grand La Romana in the Dominican Republic, booked through your platform as an all-inclusive five-star resort. From the moment we arrived, the experience was not as advertised and fell far below the standards of a five-star property. The staff was consistently rude and unaccommodating, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. The resort grounds were poorly maintained—there were unpatched holes on the walkways, and one of the children in our group was injured as a result. The condition of the rooms was equally unacceptable. They were outdated and in disrepair, with peeling doors, holes in the tub walls, and bathrooms that leaked. The air conditioning unit was inconsistent and barely functional. Our room keys repeatedly failed to work, forcing us to return to the front desk several times a day to have them reactivated. When we requested an additional key for convenience, the request was flatly refused. The amenities at the resort did not meet expectations either. The pool area offered extremely limited entertainment, and when it rained, there were no indoor options provided—nothing at all was arranged to occupy guests. Bartenders at the pool bar were unfriendly despite our consistent tipping. Towels were not readily available at the pool area. The resort is average. The property is clean, well maintained. The beach is horrible, the water cloudy and brownish color. However, on advertisement pictures , the water is blue just like in Punta Cana. This is misrepresentation.

Pictures of the beach on the web site are very misleading. It is not the blue Dominican beach you see in the photo. It is deceptive advertising. This is their explanation. "We would like to clarify that our beach in the La Romana complex has a confluence of the Chavón River, which causes the water to look cloudy especially in times of flooding of the river. We regret that you believe that we have placed misleading advertising regarding the beach, we wish to inform that during your stay there were some temperature changes or some weather phenomena (rains), which may affect the color of the water." After the first day, I tried to change to another of their 8 resorts in the DR but since I booked via Expedia, I had to go through them. Expedia stepped up but Bahia Principe never got back to them in a timely manner. Expedia gave me generous compensation for my trouble. And BTW, the food was a 3 out of 10 except the limited access Specialty dining. The Italian restaurant was great.

Outdated hotel, not a single one usb charger in room, rusty shower tub, air conditions so loud that we needed to shut off overnight. Beach is big but water is muddy so we didn't swim in the sea, only one pool that is packed due to people not using beach. Buffet had the same food all 5 days.

Excellent overall, very clean, staff were very helpful with the minor exception of drink service in the buffet section which was slow to non existent. Would highly recommend.

We loved the pool. The staff were all amazing. We had issues with our AC the last two nights but nothing we couldnt handle. Maintenance was there quickly and tried to fix it. Overall we would definately return

Good staying

The property overall was average. We had better expectations, the staff always looked mad. Only some of them were happy. The entertainment wasn’t the best.

Staff was very attentive and friendly. Staff went out of their way to serve and entertain. Property was beautiful. Only setback was the room needs some updating. Upon arrival room was clean but we had issues with the phone (couldn’t connect to the front desk) and safe wasn’t functioning properly. However, once we informed the front desk, they went about fixing the issues. On the last night, we had issues with the air conditioner staying on during the night. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

The resort is average at best and is a disappointing experience after all the positive reviews seen on Expedia. Here is a breakdown of the various parts: 1) The reception desk is very good amd they are helpful if you ask them. I was able to get my room earlier then check in time and was able to get a late checkout, even though it costs $10 per hour. As for the bellmen, they don't help unless you find them and tip them. 2) The room is clear but it is smaller than I'm used to for all inclusive resorts and the furniture is dated. The TV barerely worked and had no channel guide so you had to go through every channel to find something to watch (most programming is in Spanish). The furniture int he seating area is the same furniture they use outside and minibar only had soda and beer (expedia promised as a vip that you get a bottle of liquor per stay but it never happened). The iron in the room barely worked and had to be replaced and there were not enough outlets (only two for the room) to plug in electronics. The coffee maker in the room kept leaking. 5) The food in the buffet was terrible with no selection and bad quality; the restaurants were better but not by much and only 3 restaurants allowed for the week with reservations. It is scary when people in Dominican Republic cannot make chicken or even a pancake. Also, service was terrible in the buffet; you never see the waiter to get your drinks after the first time they come over 6) Spa doesn't honor Expedia discount.
