Casa Marina Beach and Reef - All Inclusive

Great hotel, but it is a little old and it shows. The sheets were old, the towels were old, with holes on them. The toilet and shower were clogged. The air conditioning was a little loud. Some of the problems were solved with a call, but it took them more than 4 hour for some to get fixed. Despite these things we had a good time, the food was good, the atmosphere was nice, most of the shows were entertaining, and beach was great. I would stay here again. With good management this place would be 5 starts again.

Poor entertaining shortage of staff in buffet

This is not puerto plata , it Sosúa which is dirty the People are uneducated and rude. We had two rooms since my mother came with us. The first one smelled so strong of paint and mold and had mold on the curtains it appears they painted over the mold to hide it but you would see through it. Neither rooms had good AC. Our room had mold on the curtains and comforters. Both rooms lacked water pressure. The food options were Mexican , Italian , or buffet in which they all were no good. The want tips for everything even for bringing you water to your room which we didn’t even ask for. The pool needs resurfacing and severe tile work. If you want to go somewhere cheap and just party go here but if you care about health I do not recommend going here. I couldn’t even get milk for my baby. The WiFi is only good outside of your room and it’s not free you have to pay per phone $3.00 / per day.

NEED IMPROVEMENT IN THE BATHROOMS

Receptionist was amazing

The bed is really bad. I want it to do an upgrade to deluxe but I request to see the bed first and it wasn’t that much different. I know this resort will have a huge impact on sales if the bed is changed since I also heard a lot of people staying there talking about how bad and uncomfortable the beds are. Also is the first time I go to a place that water is not served during breakfast.And this was also another subject for people to talk bad about coming to this resort. My suggestion is that water is put outside so they can serve it otherwise you are going to continue losing people to go there with this 2 major concerns by the people that pay to go here.

Convenient from stores but rooms were very dirty with mold including the Curtains and bathroom i understand they want people to pay for upgrade but that shouldn't be the reason to pay more for

This is the worst resort that I ever been. Noice room toilet not working,

Although the views of the beach itself was wonderful the service of this establishment is very poor. Upon arrival we noticed our room phone had no dial tone aka didn’t work and so we spoke to the concierge immediately to address the issue which was never resolved throughout our 4 days there. We spoke to concierge everyday mentioning the phone issue and still no one addressed the issue. Additionally, we had dinner at seascape, one of their reservation only dining areas, which was also very disappointing as far as service. Not sure of the servers name but we were neglected throughout our time dining due to asking for clarification on the menu. What should have been at most a two hour dinner turned into 4 hrs which majority of the time was spent waiting around for service AND being signaled to “hold on”. Overall, the service in this establishment is horrendous and needs serious consideration. I will not be staying again nor will I ever recommend this stay to anyone. Thanks but no thanks. Shout out to junior who was one of the only individuals at concierge who helped us upon arrival and with transportation during our stay.

The property is beautiful but poorly maintained. The pools are chipping and require painting, the rooms are in worse condition. My sink leaked in the bathroom and the toilet looked like it was rusted on the inside but then I realized it was just dirty. The inside bowl was never cleaned despite the money we tipped the cleaning lady. The bar at the beach never had beer because machine was broken. Never enough operable beach chairs or umbrellas since there were a lot of broken chairs. The worse is on top of all that you have to pay to keep your things secured in a safe daily and you have to pay for WiFi daily also. They only have 3 specialty restaurants and not many people at one time but staff is rude and so slow. We waited 45 minutes to get our food and they got the order wrong and appetizer never came out at the seafood restaurant. We were very disappointed. However, the adults only side looked great but probably very expensive which, doesn’t make it right. However, despite all that we met some nice people and made the best out of it. One positive thing I will say is that the entertainment was done nicely. I loved the balance between live bands playing outside, magic shows, comedy and dance performances.

The best part of this location is the people! The staff in all departments were fun and happy and smiling and laughing and joking and jovial and helpful and charismatic and sociable and helpful and seemed like they enjoyed being here. Moral of the story is “AND”. They were not enough ands to describe how great the staff was at this location! These were the best views I have ever seen of the ocean. I could not get enough of them.

We were very unhappy with the room on arrival, the room was unclean and the pictures were very misleading for the room, the front desk staff were of little assistance. The property itself is very nice, the staff were friendly and the general buffet was great. I wouldn’t suggest this resort if you’re looking in the area but it’s a good budget choice. The alcohol was terrible as well.

Property needs to be updated and maintained especially the rooms - staff were very nice overall. Not a lot of eating options and making reservations was difficult process More information should be given to you upon arrival so that you know exactly was is available and what's happening.

The food here was delicious! The place is super big I was a little disappointed on my location it was “premium ” but the building was old, the cheapest room were more better looking than “my pool view room” but a lot of fun next time I’ll book the cheap room for sure 😂

It was beyond disgusting. Ruined workers and unprofessional service. Especially all mangers and employees. always had a problem with the room. can’t even smoke a cigarette in peace without security harassing. And was never accommodate with anything Never ever will return. Restaurants and buffets were never clean to expectation. NEVER AGAIN. The worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

The Property is very safe Restaurant and shopping places near By, Nice Service and Food, Nice Pool and Beach

Hotel turned off their water every day for hours in the morning till hours after lunch, in the entire property. You could not flush or wash your hands anywhere. The smell was terrible, especially in the buffet where many people used the bathroom with no water. They fumigated our room during our stay. My family got food poisoning. We paid for WiFi which was still terrible, and you had to wait online every day for 40 minutes to make a dinner reservation, otherwise you had to eat in the buffet (which was small and limited) every night.

The hotel is not what it looks on the pictures. The rooms look like cheap motel rooms. Bathroom was dirty cabinets falling apart. The food was not as good as I expected. The jacuzzis were supposed to be available 24 hours but they were not on, and they were dirty. Be careful with the staff. Always ask for receipts, the staff will steal from you and when you ask for receipts they’ll leave you hanging and ignored you.

All the staffs and employers were rude and gave me and me family attitude and a hard time because it was a big group. The only worker that kept us live and having fun was the entertainer Jovanny. The rooms were downgraded and the whole resort needs remodeling. The drinks were watery and they don’t have tequila or any premium alcohol. You ask for a tequila shot and they say they don’t have and that they giving us whatever they had. Like how we paying for a resort all inclusive and they have limited everything. I got a lot more to say but the point is DON’T GO TO THIS RESORT!!!

Paid for a two queens bedroom received a 2 twins bedroom. Got my room at 5pm instead of 3 pm and wasn’t done cleaning. If you really want to enjoy your “ all inclusive” you need to get up very early to reserve your chairs at the pool (not enough chairs for everyone) we don’t have access to the beach. Only a small squeare on the public beach for all the guests of casa Marina. Again you have to get up early if you want a chair. No service from the hotel on the beach you have to climb the stairs everytime you need a drink. If you need a chair you have to figure it out yourself. The staff of playa Alicia was more helpful than the staff of casa marina. If you want to have access to a restaurent you have to line up in the morning to reserve your place. Again you are not sure you will get a reservation. The hotel have too much guest for the small service offer The intertainment is unprofessional . The employee especially the one at the front desk are rude and make you feel unwelcome. The employee at the buffet are not doing their job professionally but only talk between each other and are on their phone. This hotel do not deserve a 4 stars .
