This hotel is fabulous. The family are so lovely, it’s on a very, very well lit street and the rooms are spotlessly clean. Laundry is cheap - a large basket for $5 but make sure you ask for a long wash otherwise they won’t be cleaned properly. The WiFi only intermittently worked for me.

I arrived so late and they let me do my check in the morning. They prepared me breakfast personalized. I felt so special everyday I was there. The family was so attentive. They even upgraded my room. I was so close to the main attractions in the city. Just walking distance away. The view from the top of the building was amazing. There is also a water filter in the main lobby so you never have to buy water. I would definitely stay again.

We visited Kinde House in mid April - not high season but a great time to be in Quito. Location: It's in a "safe" part of Old Town with well-lit streets, only a half-block away from the Community Hostel (which you want to visit as soon as you arrive for free walking tours and other reasons). Eduardo showed us on the map what streets to avoid at night and what streets were safe. My wife and I had a nice time walking past local families and kids playing in the street to the local Italian restaurants. Staff: It's a family-run business and they're all very attentive, friendly, and efficient. Facilities: free internet, bottled water (to fill your own bottle), community kitchen, comfy firm beds. Breakfast: These were truly special! Looking back on my 18 days in South America I'd have to say these were the best three breakfasts I had. We stayed three nights and each b'fast was different (and wonderful)!

These people are beyond amazing. I read reviews before me and they were superb to the max. They made sure I was okay the entire time I was there before and after my tours. I got picked up and dropped off by arranging services through them safely. Breakfast was made fresh and new everyday. Water and coffee available 24 /7 . Room was cleaned everyday. I felt super secure about leaving my stuff in the room. I also felt safe where I was staying and there are literally corner stores everywhere to buy snacks and drinks. It was in a quiet area and you can walk to the central area of town within 10 minutes. What made them extra special is that i left my coat in the room and they manage to mail it to my next hotel in Gyuaquil within 2 days! Thank you for showing me such nice hospitality.

The whole family is very helpful and friendly, and can arrange rides to the airport, take care of laundry (for a small fee), and accommodate dietary requests for breakfast. The hotel is quiet. We would stay there again.

My wife and I had 9 days to visit Quito and we wanted to spend most of them exploring the historical center. This place was at a great location from the old town churches and monasteries. It is located within walking distance to the historical center. It was perfect for us, very nice, charming, clean and reasonably priced. We were welcomed with open arms. The extremely friendly owners were always helpful and trying to accommodate any wish, always with a smile. There is a nice and clear common area with fully equipped kitchen. Good breakfast. Our room was fairly big, bed comfortable and the bathroom was well supplied daily with nice towels and toiletries. We cannot thank the staff enough, especially Monica for taking such good care of us. We definitely highly recommend this place!

My experience was nothing short of fabulous! The Kinde House really did feel like home away from home. The house was very clean and well kept; it has a beautiful Victorian decor/feel to it. The service was great! They were very helpful and kind at any time of the day; gave us lots of information on local tours and any questions we had in general about the city and area. Breakfast was delicious; always something new and fresh served daily. I would like to extend a personal thank you to the staff and management! It is hard to come across such sincere individuals...and I would definitely recommend the Kinde House for your next stay in Quito.
