The only issue was that there is some traffic noise, but that's probably true for all downtown Cairo locations. The staff was superb.

The worst custimer service in the whole of Egypt. Upon arriving at the Steigenberger Hotel El Tahrir in Cairo, Egypt, we initially booked due to five-star ambiance. However, our experience was subsequently marred by several significant issues that detracted from our stay. The cuisine was notably bland and overpriced. Throughout our four-day stay, the menu consistently lacked meat dishes, limiting dining options.Service Conduct: During both breakfast and dinner, managers were observed reprimanding staff, neglecting guest service in the process.Room Service Efficiency: Orders often took over 90 minutes to arrive, indicating inefficiencies in service delivery.Noise Disturbance: Our room faced a street with exceptionally heavy traffic. Persistent honking from 6 AM until 2-3 AM disrupted our rest. The hotel did not offer an alternative room, attributing the disturbance to the location. Room cleaning services frequently failed to replace towels and replenish tea and sugar supplies, necessitating repeated requests. Despite explaining our situation, my husband and I were unwell and had a 'Do Not Disturb' sign displayed for three days. Management repeatedly called our room, despite explaining our need for rest, the calls persisted until we disconnected the phone. pon checkout, I requested assistance with our six bags, emphasising our need to depart promptly for the airport. After 40 minutes, four phone calls, and a visit to reception, a staff member arrived without a trolley.

You will not be disappointed if you stay here. It is the best hotel in Cairo.

The hotel is very well located, next to the Cairo museum. The room had a good space, was clean, the bed was comfy and they have one of the best breakfast buffets with a lot of variety.

A truly amazing hotel in the heart of the Nile area. The hotel is soundproofed giving you a rare opportunity to enjoy the peace in this manic city. Staff and facilities were 5star. Very close to the Egyptian Musyrm to catch a view of King Tut’s regalia.

Brilliant location, right next to Tahrir Square, Sadat Metro has great links to other lines and the main train station and other destinations. Next to Champollion Street that has a great cheap laundrette, Abu Tarek Koshary (Cairo's only veg restaurant - possibly) and cheap good take away 'Alkhwaja Aldemashqy'. Amazing breakfast buffet with lots of choice, loved the biryani for breakfast. Machine in the lobby easily converts £ and $ to Egyptian pounds at a great rate, easy to use! Negatives - staff only seemed to be interested if they can make money out of you such as avoiding booking you a cheap Uber taxi and not supplying a spare USB lead to recharge the phone. This is the only hotel I have been to that does not have spare leads in the back office for customers.

Decent stay. Hotel is in the heart of the city, so expect traffic to and fro the hotel. Rooms are nice and well equipped, but pretty small in sizes. Bathroom has a very strange smell when kept closed which was my only gripe.

My favorite hotel in Egypt-- the rooms were clean and well-designed. The staff was great and friendly. Location close to the Egyptian Museum which was a bonus

Very good hotel at acceptable price in the heart of Cairo downtown with plenty of dining and shopping options. There is no disco in the hotel which makes it great relaxing place.

After a horrible stay a week ago at the same hotel, this round was much better. The room was clean and did not smell bad like the previous one.

It was my second time at this hotel and would highly recommend. It has a great location to main downtown area, museums and river. Very clean and comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff. Amazing buffet breakfast. I has also a small gym and terrace pool. It is very convenient for both vacations or business trips.

Thanks for great stay . I will give 5 stars . Very safe and walkable great swimming pool areas , u can have a swim or smoke shisha , have a drink till 11 pm .
