The hotel is located near Paddington Station with several restaurants and shops within walking distance. I was able to walk to several tourist landmarks and public transportation such as the tube, trains, cabs were available as well. The staff was excellent, especially the manager who had several recommendations for sightseeing and dining. The room I had was recently upgraded and was both comfortable and quiet. There was a full breakfast available and the front desk was staffed day/night for any other additional requests for towels, water, snacks. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely return whenever I am traveling to the UK.

Location and Value all in one I love London but man is it expensive so you need to find ways to maximize value for your money. First off go grab a GoCity pass if you are doing 5 or more days. It will be worth it. Second find a hotel that is close to transport, yet far away from the chaos that is London. ABC Hyde Park was great for me. First let’s start off with location. Literally two traffic lights away was Paddington Station which gives you access to Underground, Elizabeth line and National Rail. There is a 15 min train to/from Heathrow (buy your ticket way in advance to save yourself money). The hotel is also close to Edgeware Road and Lancaster Gate which gives you access to even more lines. Edgeware road is where I stocked up on groceries (water, snacks, beer, etc) at Waitross. The room comes with a fridge and microwave which was unexpected and meant I had a cold beer waiting for me for the fraction of the cost of a pub. The hotel is located on a Mews. You will learn that Mews are basically side streets the rich used to house their horses and staff. You don’t get the traffic from the main roads and it was quiet even though the hospital is right around the corner. If you have ever been to NYC you know the sounds of horns and sirens. You will hear the odd siren now and then but I had my window each night and slept well. Let’s talk about temperature. Hotels in London don’t really have AC. They all use fans. There is a giant fan on the wall pointed at the bed to cool you

We had a lovely stay, our room was room number 8 which is a front facing room overlooking the main road lined with beautiful trees and great for car spotting. Road noise was minimal and the only real noise was Emergency Services which in 3 days was around 3 times. The room was fair spaced for 2 people, bathroom is tiny but useable and immaculate, Bed was immaculate and comfortable with hotel quality pillows, mattress protector, sheet, loose sheet and duvet. Beautiful deep red and gold runner and scatter cushions. One chair, footstool, hairdryer, kettle, cups, bottled waterx2, glasses, biscuits and pan au chocolat x2, hand soap, shampoo and body wash supplied too. We were surprised as some reviews for this hotel had made us question our choice but we were happy to stay and felt well looked after. Only fair to mention there was a few cosmetic damages that had been repaired and didn’t affect functionality of the room. We sadly didn’t get to try breakfast as we overslept and then we also weren’t sure of where to go but should we get the chance to go to London again we will book the ABC and make use of the breakfast area. Staff were lovely, super informative and even labelled everything on an extremely helpful map. Key has to be left behind when you go out, which we weren’t keen on doing but it was easy to collect as main office is manned all hours. Windows were dressed lovely and the room was neutral. Wish we’d been able to stay longer.
