I booked this hotel for my teen daughters (18 & 17) who were attending a concert at the coop live. I chose this hotel as I knew they would be safe and comfortable. They said it was lovely and the security on the evening was friendly and asked them about the concert.

Went for the football and stayed over to it being later, but hotel was first class with free breakfast, friendly staff and helpful bar staff in the morning. Bedroom was excellent.

A lovely historic property. Large room with a massive bed (but the duvet was too warm for us). Fantastic bistro breakfast. Close to all main visitor attractions.

Stay was ok but 4 star rating seems a bit of a stretch Rooms were nice but very basic, had to move rooms after the first night as our toilet wouldn’t flush then the tv was broken in the room we were relocated to so not great

If you are wanting a city centre experience, this is not the hotel for you. We purchased a breakfast and cocktail package that would give us a drink at the bar. On arriving at the bar at 10.40pm we were told the bar is closed! We explained that we had purchased the package and had especially come back for the cocktails. We were told we could only have a glass of wine each! You would expect when going back to the room you would have a peaceful nights sleep, However this is not the case, considering that this hotel is next to a busy junction and very close to the station the double glazing would block the street noise, which unfortunately was not the case and kept my wife and I awake for most of the night!! My final remark is do not order a croque monsieur for breakfast as you will only receive a cheese and ham toastie!!!!

This hotel was great location and lots near it. I would say staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. Would say the rooms could be a bit updated. But overall enjoyed our stay. Would return.

Had a twin comfort room which was fine for one night. Short walk from Piccadilly station. Clean room with walk in shower. Decorated with original tiles. Bed very comfortable tv sound not brilliant. Tea coffee and biscuits good. Would stay again

Our room had 3 light bulbs not working. The room was on the cool side and I couldn't operate the aircon as the remote didn't work. The curtains were missing hooks, so didn't close properly and I woke up early with sunlight in my eyes. I had to return the poached eggs at breakfast as had been cooked with way too much vinegar and not drained properly, so the toast etc was tainted as well. There was a big damp patch on a wall in the bistro area. The staff were pleasant enough, but didn't seem to remember simple things - eg had to ask for butter several times, or not to have beans with one breakfast. It is alot of years since I last visited and I enjoyed it then but the building is getting a bit tired around the edges. It was clean but needs a bit of TLC. I don't think I'll stay again.

Staff on reception and the bar were excellent, friendly and helpful. Bed was large and very comfortable. The room was a bit run down. No windows would open and the aircon is broken throughout the full hotel. So you are sleeping in an airless box with no control over heat. Some blinds work some were broken. Overall gives the impression of a once premium hotel that has not been looked after. Stains on the radiator and wallpaper. We booked a late checkout as we were having a late night. The staff on reception were once again very helpful. Unfortunately the cleaners were not so accommodating with a lie in. Making loads of noise, slamming doors and even had a radio on whilst it seemed making sure no one was sleeping in.

The hotel room doesn't look like the photos. Everything looks a bit dated in the room, the wallpaper, paint etc. The mattress sank in the middle so it felt like an old mattress that is due for a change. The location is very good though. I'd stay again for the right price.
