Room overlooked the beach, had everything you need. I did not have breakfast

Friendly staff nice room and excellent position

Room very clean but a little tired.

Was not free only continental avail for £5 pd No food available at night had to phone for takeaway Pizza Parking was only available to direct bookers only although I am disabled driver

Smiling but unfortunately unhelpful receptionist. When I asked why I could not park in the hotel’s parking bays, three out of four of which remained vacant throughout our stay, I was told that parking is available only for guests who book directly with the hotel and not through websites such as Hotels.com. This is incorrect, as the Hotels.com listing makes no mention of such a restriction. The rooms also did not quite match the photos displayed online. The images on the website appear mixed up, with some photographs shown under the lower-priced rooms actually belonging to higher room categories. This is misleading, and the hotel should ensure that the photos accurately represent each room type.

We went to weymouth for show on the pavillion - hotel is only minutes away. Our room was very clean overlooking beach. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast. Would stay again

We were greeted by the friendly staff which were very informative about the everything,the room was just as described,we both had a great stay.

This was our first time in Weymouth, young couple , We were greeted by very friendly staff Member, she was very informative and helpful , All staff were nice . We had a room which had a beach view first floor stayed for 2 nights. The room was good, from the linen, bathroom and entertainment . Everything was within steps aways to the beach , shops , entertainment, and transport buses. Parking is a nightmare we booked through Expedia please be mindful that if book direct through the Alexander hotel they only have space for 5 cars which on a first come first serve .However if you find space in Zone F Area the Hotel will provide you with a parking permit . As the area is so busy you may find going around several times like we did lol . Apart from that love the experience, visited beautiful places , like Durdel Doors , Portland via Bus tours good service. We will definitely come back to Weymouth and stay at Alexander. 14/08/2025

The staff were absolutely brilliant and breakfast really good but im afraid wasnt impressed with room or rooms shall we say , first double room very small although with a sea view but looked so much bigger on website , i asked to get moved to a bigger room across where i was to number4 and no joking was kept up with constant pidgeon coo hoo coo hoo coo hoo first thing from 5am and never stopped , had to keep window closed but even then was shocking , i fully understand its the council responsibility but its really horrible as the pidgeons are loud , i left the hotel needing more sleep than when i arrived , had nightmares ever since came back to scotland !!!!!! , its a shame because the staff are brilliant but they can only do what they can and the breakfast really good but sorry i wont be coming back to the hotel .

The hotel was in an excellent location near to the beach, the harbour and several bars and restaurants. The property itself was an old Georgian hotel. The room was on the third floor and there is no lift so ideally you will be fit. The room and bathroom were clean. The mattress was far too soft. I would recommend a firmer mattress

Staff and service was excellent. Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Room was partially clean. The main issue was extremely hot like a sauna with no air-conditioning, it was unbearable. Staff were great and got us a fan but we could barely sleep.

I was in a rooftop room during a heatwave and the night time temperatures were very high and with no air conditioning it was a restless sleep. The decor in the rooms was dated and typical of an English holiday seaside town resort. Breakfast was continental but basic with no fruit options. Given it was a cheaper option for Weymouth in the summer I would say it is in the budget scale of hotels.

The location is excellent. Our room has beach front sea view and you can see the ferries wheel and the merry go round too.

The hotel was a great location central for everything the staff were lovely helpful and really friendly making us feeling welcome straight away the holtel was clean needs a little up dating but can not fault it the breakfast was great value

Extremely friendly lady booked us in. We had a very spacious room with comfortable beds and very clean. Very pleased with our stay. The location was brilliant and a 10 minute walk from the railway station
