A very unique and beautiful hotel. We had a great time.

What an absolutely fabulous hotel. So comfortable and charming. Great staff. Lovely quiet area, easy walk to train and town centre.

Hotel staff are really easy to work with and the decorations and hotel are very comfortable. The hotel resembles a Victorian luxury house. We would definitely go there again. The hotel is located in a beautiful neighborhood surrounded by luxury homes, and it’s only a 10 minute walk to the center of town.

We arrived early and just popped into reception to register our car as we planned to walk into York. The reception staff were lovely, they said our room would be ready in 15 minutes if we wanted to wait in the beautiful gardens they would take us up. We didn’t expect this as we were 4 hours before check in. The lady on reception took us to our room and showed us around the hotel. Everything was perfect. We had the room with the balcony and it was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and the staff cannot do enough for you.

A beautiful property, approx 15 minute walk from central York. I enjoyed a womderful stay in a beautifully decorated and well appointed room. I loved the artwork throughout the communal areas proprty and the 24 hour reception.

We took elderly relatives, we had requested ground floor rooms as they struggle with walking, although not guaranteed at booking stage, we were accommodated. The hotel was lovely in its quirkiness. We arrived early as we knew parking was limited and hoped to be able to park our cars, coming back later to check in. As our rooms were already ready we were allowed to check in early. We were also allowed to pay for extra half day of parking on our departure date, which meant we didn't have to move the cars around York to enjoy the rest of second day there. The rooms were all individually designed and the beds were the best hotel beds I have ever slept in, so comfortable, a comment echoed by our parents in their rooms. Staff were friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The lounge was comfortable to sit in, the breakfast options were very good. Although the location was within easy reach of York, 5-10 minute walk for a moderately fit person, it was tucked down a side street and was surprisingly quiet given the busy road nearby. Would I go back, yes and would I recommend to others definitely yes.

I can't not recommend this stylish accommodation enough so if you can then book it but also check about parking suitability/availability with high season approaching nah mean 😕 otherwise such a blessing to find as love the quirkyness of the place and kind welcome/cocktail 🍹😎👋🤩✨#visityork

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The facilities are beautiful as well as the rooms. The location is great and the staff is friendly.

What a wonderful place to stay! Our room was beautifully decadent, breakfast excellent, and the staff team were all professional, charming and extremely helpful. I could not recommend Clementine's highly enough, plus it's walking distance from the city centre but set aside so it's relaxing and peaceful. We hope to return again. This is a gem!

Amazing decorated room but the bed was awful so hard unable to sleep at all and had an extraction fan that ran no stop in the room.

Wonderful hotel! Great location in a quiet area close to the city. Lovely decor and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again if visiting York. Very small difficulty in filling up the kettle due to the size.

Positives Friendly staff, nicely presented decor based on Modern Vintage theme hotel, walking distance to main areas, breakfast. Negatives Parking, there is a £15 charge per night to park at the hotel, with no option to park on the road outside. The room was super hot, even with the window open and radiator off, paper thin walls, you can literally hear everything coming from the other guests in their room! We stayed in one of the superior rooms with a jacuzzi bath, which was great, however the shower was near impossible, due to the low ceiling and hand held shower, and lastly, the reception area smells of stale cigarettes, maybe to do with people smoking right outside the front door.

Staff were so lovely and room was immaculate. They were very accommodating in allowing us to leave our bags for the day after check out which allowed us to enjoy our time in york even further.

An utterly stunning guest house. Amazing decor. We love this place and can’t wait to be back again!
