The hotel was clearly under renovation. The place was very shabby and smelt of fresh (an ugly green) paint. There was no restaurant facilities available, so no breakfast. The lift was out of order. Definitely not to be recommended.

Avoid at all cost. Room was dirty. Toilet water was constantly running which could not be repaired when reported. We left the room and hotel within 15mins of checking in. They promised a refund as they couldn't offer another room but stated that would need to go through Hotels.com. They did not refund and Im still chansing this up with Hotels.com

Shame. Used to be a class hotel. Now is a totally run down garbage hotel. Would not recommend staying here at all. Unless you recently arrived by boat. Stay away. Dont let the price fool you.

Don’t have anything positive to say about the hotel overall to be honest. 3 of us stayed in 3 separate rooms and all had issues. I had a room where the heating wouldn’t switch off, mattress was uncomfortable and felt like it needed flipping, also my shower was held together with electrical tape. The second of us had no heating whatsoever and ended up sleeping in his coat on what seemed to be an old uncomfortable mattress. The third of us had to move rooms due to an overpowering smell of mould. Hotel very dated and worn down, no lift at all. Screaming kids down every hallway. Won’t ever be coming back

Allegedly being refurbished. Entranceway from main road looked very good, but reality was different. Old carpets on the staircase - on the uprisers the carpet was dangerously hanging off - a health and safety hazard waiting to catch heels of people walking down the stairs. Lift didn't work and we were on the second floor with suitcases. Room terrrible: bed mattress uncomfortable and lumpy, window wouldn't shut, toilet leaked, shower hose leaked, mould on the grout, no bedside table one side; no plug in the sink; no handle on toilet brush (hidden on the inside, very unhygienic); only one set of towels (but two of us). One cup and one mug for tea/coffee making (ie didn't even match). The walls appeared to have been painted, but the woodwork was very dirty. Just a very very poor room for the money we paid for one night (£89.99), when compared with Premier Inn, or Travelodge. Would never stay there again!!

This was booked for my granddaughter for a concert. They could not stay, the hotel was filthy, the roof was leaking, the toilet was broken, the bed stank of urine and the mattress was badly stained. Avoid, we are trying to get a refund via my credit card. My grandaughter and her friend were offered drugs in the car park, they are 21and 22 and were too sacred to go back so drove back to Wales. Dusting place. We have lots of photos. The roof had a massive h9le in it

This was the worst hotel I have stayed in in years. The name suggests something far better than reality. The hotel is very tired. The restaurant does not operate. The clientele seem to be mainly local workers (some nice people but a bit scary). The bath was flimsy and had a burn mark in it. The room was otherwise clean. The fire alarm went off early morning. There was a lot of commotion from a couple of doors down in the night. I then received a fine from a third party company because I had parked in the car park overnight. I saw no signs and no mention was made about parking when I checked in. The website said that parking was free. Never again will I consider staying at that hotel. It should be shut down.

Generally poor. Overall it looked run down and shabby both inside and out. The room itself looked OK but all the fixtures and fitting were very chunky and the toilet seat was broken."Reception" area was very unwelcoming with the receptionist hidden behind notices and computer screens. Pricy for what we got compared with other hotels we have stayed in recently. Overall very basic and certainly not remotely worth the £150 it cost for the room for one night.

Having read some of the reviews, I approached my visit - particularly the guest who said that he would have rather slept in his car- but it was ok. It wasn't perfectly clean and the shower was a bit hit and miss (my son said the shower in hid room was great), but it was ok. Petfectly average, but not good value - my room was £125. The biggest issue was one of the windows in my room would've close so not ideal in November. Would I stay there again? No. It was over priced and too nany niggly issues.
