Holiday Inn Express LONDON - HAMMERSMITH by IHG, an IHG Hotel

Room was quiet and the hot breakfast was decent. Safe and decent place.

The bed was big and convenient but you can hear noises into the room and also the charging power didn’t work.

The shower is flooded every time using the shower, lots of hair and black stuffs keep backing up from the drainage. The water will back up from the shower drainage even just turn the bath sink tap on. The shower will turned scalding hot, then freezing and back to normal every few minutes, us and the kids been burned ourselves a few times.

The overall one night stay was okay and staff were quite pleasant at check-in. The only disappointment was the lack of organisation at breakfast and it was a free for all trying to secure a table. The quality of breakfast we'd rate 7/10.

Friendly service at the front desk. The room was clean and a good size for a solo traveler. The bed was large but found to be two beds put together with a gap in the middle which can be a little uncomfortable. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to stay for the free breakfast.

Value for money rooms, pillows were a bit uncomfortable

Arrived and the family room was not made up, was moved again after the a/c in the next room was faulty. Shower drain was blocked and overflowed onto the bathroom floor. Breakfast was chaos, staff stressed and not very polite.

The staff at check-in were fine. I called beforehand to ask about vegan breakfast options and was told there would be scrambled eggs, which is not something a vegan would eat. At breakfast, the staff were abrupt and almost rude. Everything seemed to be an effort they did not want to make. The food was, quite frankly, sub-par. The hash browns were just awful, badly cooked and tasteless. I never realised it was possible to cook a hash brown badly, but there you go. There was a suspicious looking stain on the front of the sink (like blood or something worse) in the bathroom and the disability friendly shower washroom (that we didn’t need as we are not disabled) was awkward - there was a lot of water on the floor so we had to take care not to slip. The bed was comfortable but the room was too hot. Very well located, but as the breakfast staff were so unfriendly and unaccommodating, I’m not sure I would want to stay there again.

Great location, and excellent staff. Breakfast was a bonus. Only downside was our room was directly above Wetherspoons and it's outside bar area and the bedroom window would not close fully. If staying again will ask for an inside room

Centrally located hotel. Breakfast was great, parking was super convenient and reasonable for area, room was clean and bed was comfy. All the necessary shops are very close and the staff was very helpful. Would absolutely stay again.

The location is very convenient for events at the Apollo. The breakfast is good quality. Our room on this occasion was not as good as when we have stayed in the past; the heating was turned up to maximum when we arrived and took a while to become comfortable. Also, the bathroom sink/tap leaked soaking my wash bag.

Tried to call reception to let the hotel know we would not be checking in as our vehicle had broken down on the journey. I was not seeking a refund just trying to let hotel know in case they wanted to release the room. Person on the call was unhelpful verging on rude to the point where I gave up.

Property is old! Heating did not work!

Only issue was finding the building. It was in a very unexpected location that was tucked away behind a storefront on the main road. Which is actually quite nice once you have found it.

Our family was extremely pleased with our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, making everything very accessible and convenient for us. The staff was exceptionally friendly and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. We found the pricing to be quite reasonable given the amenities and comfort offered. However, there are a couple of areas for improvement. While we appreciated the gluten-free bread at breakfast, we would love to see a few more gluten-free options available. The bathrooms and carpet could benefit from a refresh, although these did not significantly impact our experience. Additionally, offering movies on the TV in addition to the local channels would enhance the in-room entertainment. Lastly, an updated air conditioning controller would be a nice touch, as it would make adjusting the temperature more user-friendly. Overall, our experience was very positive, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future!
